Mucus plug/discharge/amniotic fluid?

I don't know if it's just me but I'm finding all these things to look out for really confusing!

Basically, for the past three mornings I've been losing bits of my mucus plug. I'm 32 weeks but I called my midwife and she said it's normal and you can lose bits of it weeks before you go into labour. First morning it was a massive blob and clear, yesterday and today it looks more yellow. No blood in it.

Since I've had the show or whatever you want to call it I've been experiencing some dull achy pains really low down in the front of my stomach. They don't hurt enough for me to be that bothered by them but they are obviously noticeable and when sat at a desk all day are a bit uncomfortable. I also have rather bad pressure pains in my lady bits! I am also experiencing a fair amount of discharge. Sometimes it's normal consistency, sometimes it's more watery.

What I want to know is if this is perfectly normal for the third trimester or if this is something I should be calling the hospital about to get checked over? I think if I hadn't of started loosing some of my plug I probably would be taking less notice of the achy pains.

Baby is moving around normally... Anyone else experienced this or have the same thing at the moment?

Annoying as it is, I think it all sounds normal.

You'll be getting bigger, baby will be bearing down which will be causing the dull aches, and for me I always get more discharge in the third tri.

I've read before losing the mucus plug doesn't equate to labour being anytime soon. Try not to worry but if you are concerned I would call the midwife

I lost a big blog of plug at 37 wks, had pains on and off since then with an increase in watery discharge and including a 12 hr and a 4 hr very realistic practice but it all stopped. I'm 40 wks tomorrow and don't feel anything is going to happen anytime soon.
Think it's just been my body getting ready so hoping that means it will be fairly quick once it does get going.

Yep that sounds sort of similar to what I'm experiencing youlemming except it's been over three days and I'm quite achy :(

Obviously I don't want him to make an appearance this early so am hoping it's normal.
