Still no bump..

I know with your first it takes can take a while to show, I've just got myself in a panic today.

I'm naturally thin and quite tall so it's not too surprising I've kept my figure. I've lost my appetite the past couple of weeks and lost weight too. A friend of mine showed me her sisters bump at 16 weeks (which is what I am now) and it was her first and it's really big compared to mine.

It is normal to be completely flat isn't it? Sometimes when I lie down, I can see a little bump but often it disappears so I assume it's baby moving round. I'm scared it isn't growing as much as it should due to my poor appetite although I've been trying to make up for it. I had a few cramps last night which I assume are growing pains so I'm hoping before long my mind will be put at ease.
I thought I'd stop worrying after 12 weeks, but nope..
still utterly anxious about things going wrong!

It depends on your build but also the babies position. I'm five foot and a healthy weight and never got a bump with my first and only showed for the last couple of months with my second.
They were 3kg and 3.5kgs ao healthy weight but were both laid head in my pelvis and bum inwards so didn't show.

With my second I wore my normal jeans up to 5 months and it was about 6 months when people I knew fairly well and saw regularly realised I was pregnant. I was very active so was just baby etc, didn't put much more weight on.

Frills I'm the same I'm quite tall eating healthy diet and my bump is minute. It's my first and somewhat nervous that the baby isn't growing though both my 8 weeks and 12 weeks scan were ok. Can wait for my 20 week scan in 2 weeks just to find out if all is ok.

Yep, normal! I'm 23 weeks with my second and still don't look noticeably pregnant

Ah thank you so much. I know it's a silly question because I kind of knew some people didn't show for a while, I've been so bloated lately I've gotten so excited then it disappears! I should be happy really it saves me going out buying new jeans..
I just wish my worrying would stop. I heard the heartbeat 2 days ago and the reassurance has already started waring off!

Roll on kicks and punches from the little one!

frills you remind me very much of myself when I was pregnant with DD. It's completely normal to worry about everything, but do make sure you talk to your midwife if you need to!

fwiw, my bump came out of nowhere after crying that something must be wrong because I didn't have one Grin

Oh yes, what Ponty says - one day I woke up with a bump out of nowhere, at about the 6 month mark I think

I'm only short (5'2) and had no sign of a bump at 16 weeks! It's only just started to look like a proper bump in the last two weeks and I'm 27+4 now.

16 weeks! I didn't have a bump until about 30 weeks, didn't have a stranger notice I was pregnant until 34 weeks and had him at 36+6. Each woman is different and carries differently, a friend is due at the start of August with her second and you wouldn't even notice she's pregnant, if you did you'd think she was about 4-5 months.

I'm 5'8 and was a size 8-10 when I was pregnant. I went for a maternity bra fitting when I was 6 months gone and was asked by the woman measuring me if I was sure I was pregnant. At seven months I went to an annual Christmas meet up where no-one realised I was pregnant. At seven and a half months I ballooned like a Zeppelin. I have know loads of tall slim women who haven't shown for ages - even one who had twins!

Not a hint of a bump until 22 weeks with my first! Flat as a pancake at 16 weeks. She was 7lbs 12oz at birth. Completely normal!

I was 30 weeks before I couldn't fit my jeans with dc1. With dc2 it was 12weeks! I wasn't thin but I am quite tall - more room for baby.

Oh and I'm slim but not tall.
