will my feet go back down?!

I am 24+6 today, and find that my feet, ankles, hands and wrists are very swollen at the end of the working day - they go back to normal overnight and stay normal at the weekends, so I'm not worried about anything too major.

but. even when they aren't swollen, my feet don't fit into my shoes anymore! I know how shallow this is, and i know the baby is worth all the shoes in the world, I really do, but... I have some beautiful heels and boots and now I'm seeing on the internet that some people's feet change size permanently. I'm already a size 7 at only 5'6", so I don't want to have to get rid of all my lovely shoes and go up to a ginormous 8... wah!!!

has anyone here found that their feet did or didn't go back to normal after the baby comes?

Sorry to say DD is 22 months and my feet went up to a ginormous 8 and stayed there. I am pregnant again now and hoping it doesn't happen again.

My feet went up to a size 7 - they were back to a 6 within 4 months. I suffered with swelling towards the end but if I'm honest the main reason my feet went up a size was because I put on a shed load of weight!

Once the majority of the excess weight was gone my feet were ok again - I was relieved, as like you, I have tonnes of shoes that'd have gone to waste otherwise!

Sorry to say that my feet have gone from a size 6 to a size 8 over 4 pregnancies and show no signs of going back... No puffiness, I think they just got squashed and spread out.Hmm

Buy some new cheap shoes! Comfy ones that stretch. Dorothy Perkins are great for cheap, wide-ish flats.
My feet swelled when I was pregnant with DS and I stretched all my beautiful shoes.
Feet now very much back to normal but my old shoes are too big. Wish I hadn't stretched all my old pairs.

thanks ladies - sounds like it's 50/50 whether my ligaments will tighten up again. I really hope so, otherwise there's going to be some tearful e-baying in a few months' time!!
