Pregnant and craving lucozade

Pregnant with DC3 and craving lucozade. I normally only drink water and previous cravings have been for ice-lollies. Maybe it will be a boy this time!
Only 8weeks along so going someone can suggest a healthier alternative for my teeth and waistline!
I'm sure all the additives are no healthy either.

There is actually nothing in the world like lucozade...the reason it's so utterly amazing is because it's so unhealthy ;)
I've only had one can of it in my pregnancy- to get baby moving for a scan at 16 weeks...it worked a treat!!

I craved lucozade when I was pregnant & I had a boy! I suffered from low blood pressure & my midwife said it was ok to drink it occasionally. Problem was that I wanted it every day Shock

I also craved it on my first pregnancy. I drank a lot of it to ease the nausea in the first trimester and like you, OP, I normally never drink fizzy drinks. It helped a lot though. I had a boy. On this pregnancy, I'm currently 13+3 and have tried it once or twice to help ease the nausea, but I've just found it sickening. I think if you need it, then have it. You probably won't want it anymore when you get past the next few weeks.

PS it is now said that there is more sugar in fruit juices than in fizzy drinks, so forget about the apple juice and have the Lucozade ;-)

Lol ficidy will bin the apple juice then! DH is getting excited about the possibility of a boy now. Had just assumed girl no 3. Happy either way anyway.

If you want it, then have some! Cravings are often your body telling you that you need something, maybe you need a sugar boost? Just don't go mad on it, as it does contain caffeine.

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and can't get enough lemonade at the moment. I think healthy eating goes out the window in the first trimester.

You can drink lu ozade just not things like red bulk and boost the reason I know this is I have hyperemesis and the obstetric Dr told me to drink lucozadde and I did even went to appointments with it and they never even commented on it not even a midwife it keeps your energy up if extreme tiredness or sickness x

Lucozaide in pregnancy is heaven! When I was suffering stress and unable to eat it got me through. Now I'm back eating I still get cravings, trying to be good though.

I had quite a few orange lucozade and our son is fine. Has lots of caffeine in do just be aware of total you have in a day if you are watching that

My doctor recommended it for Hyperemis, she said not to drink it very fizzy though so I am sure that giving into your craving will be fine!

I love orange lucozade but have avoided it in this pregnancy due to the caffeine content. Was in Asda today and a 6 pack is £1.97!! I gave in :-) will be putting some in my hospital bag xx

I never have fizzy drinks, but when I was PG I had strong urges to drink gallons of Dr Pepper.

When I was expecting DS all I wanted to drink was Appletiser. Didn't want it at all in this pregnancy with DD. Oddly, I had never thought of that until now.

Lucozade is my hangover drink, nothing beats it. Obviously I don't have hangovers at the moment, but I think I'm going to have to check out this Caribbean crush version.

With DS I just wanted Haribos morning, noon and night. Haribos and the odd fanta. Can't remember what I wanted with DD but I think mainly salty stuff. This time cravings are yet to kick in but I did scoff a secret snickers earlier. I amazed myself at how quickly I inhaled it. Blush
