Hi all, I'm pregnant with my first :) so bare with me haha. I've been getting really bad shooting pains down below the past two days, usually after standing up, I could cry with the pain. Is this normal? I was thinking it was lightening maybe but I haven't got a clue. It's not all the time or anything but quite often. Help x

My friend once helpfully described them as 'getting an electric shock in my cervix' Grin it's very common, not sure what causes them though!

Agh the beloved 'lightning crotch' one of many pleasures of late pregnancy. Rest assured, it will be over soon!
I am 35+ 2 and have had one attack of lightning crotch and increasing braxton hicks, which feel like all the breath in my chest is being squeezed out!
