Baby boy sleepsuits - where to buy non logo, sweet clothes

TakeMeToTheMilk · 23/05/2015 20:32

I'm looking for places to buy baby boy sleepsuits and need ideas!
Big no-no's: Disney, logos/slogans, old man clothes
Likes: stripes, primary colours
Not too expensive though. H and M do some stripy short sleeved vests I like, boots mini club have nice pictured stuff and I like jojomaman Bebe but they're pricey. Any ideas where to look?

Jojo Maman is the best place imo. Buy some bits from ebay, JoJo is such great quality it still looks great.

Ilovenannyplum · 23/05/2015 20:35

I found some nice bright ones in Boots and M&S
I loathe baby clothes covered in Disney and cartoon diggers Hmm

Chocolateorangegirl · 23/05/2015 20:37

Little bird at mothercare is nice

Polarn y pyret is also great but expensive.

SoftSheen · 23/05/2015 20:40

John Lewis have sleep suits in stripy primary colours and lots of other nice designs too. Good value and good quality.

Polarn O. Pyret, Boden, Frugi, Hatley and Joules also have lots of nice colourful sleep suits/bodysuits but are rather more expensive.

gingerbreadmam · 23/05/2015 21:01

tesco and asda do nice stuff as do next and marks and spencer. all worth a look.

changingagain · 23/05/2015 21:12

I've seen some nice ones in TK Max. very mixed though, they have some awful ones too.

Purpleball · 23/05/2015 21:39

Agree with Boots they had some gorgeous baby clothes. I got cute neutral green ones with elephants on. Made a change from cream/beige

blacktreaclecat · 23/05/2015 21:47

Next used to have lovely 3 packs- bright colours, animal appliqués- so cute.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 23/05/2015 21:50

Boots mini club are good, they often have offers on and at the moment all the winter stuff is on sale.
Tk maxx

Catypillar · 23/05/2015 21:51

I got some brightly coloured ones from Mothercare and Boots. Also thinking about buying some dye and tie dyeing DS's old white sleepsuits. Will be keeping an eye on this thread for more ideas.

Mangobubbles · 23/05/2015 21:54

Verbaudet do lovely stuff and lots of discount codes too.

Archer26 · 23/05/2015 21:55

Matalan. I picked up some lovely ones yesterday in a soft blue stripe. Two pack for £7. Can't grumble at that.

Ilovenannyplum · 23/05/2015 21:55

Boots are buy one get one half price at the moment.
They have some gorgeous sleep suits and vests with a bright chevron pattern on. I didn't buy them in the current size AND the next size up. No no no. I did

6LittleOnes · 23/05/2015 21:57

Next babygrows are brilliant, they have built in scratch mitts. I found verbaudet clothes come up small.

Next sometimes have some nice ones - they do have stuff probably exactly the opposite to what you want too, but if you look amongst that they do a range called baby brights I think that has a lot of primary colours and patterns. This sort of stuff:

GlitterTwinkleToes · 23/05/2015 22:00

Asda, tesco, next and debenhams (sp)

RevoltingPeasant · 23/05/2015 22:01

John Lrwis - just been in today and they have some lovely stuff.

Steph1502 · 23/05/2015 22:02

Next have some beautiful pastel blue sets and they have the mitts attached to the sleeve so you don't keep losing scratch mitts. Very reasonable price too xx

stubbornstains · 23/05/2015 22:07

ASDA's this season are v. disappointing. They've had some lovely colourful ones in the past, but this year, it's one blue aisle and one pink aisle. End of Hmm.

I've acquired quite a few baby blue/ white ones from charity shops, and dyed them. If using Dylon machine dye, purple, orange, tropical green and amazon green are the most colour fast. Red gives you a nice raspberry pink, which may or may not be to your taste when dressing a boy! (I was quite fond of dressing DS1 in his raspberry pink cardi Smile).

Nothing on earth though, is able to stop my mum giving me bagsful of babygros with fucking diggers on Hmm.

WankerDeAsalWipe · 23/05/2015 22:12

What on earth is wrong with diggers? Hmm Confused

You folk are just weird - i'm with you on the Disney/slogans, but there is nothing wrong with patterns that happen to be cars/diggers/flowers/fruit etc.

WankerDeAsalWipe · 23/05/2015 22:18

these are cute but not sur of they are bright enough?

Now fruit patterns I quite like (M&S have some fab ones at the moment with a jungle pattern and bananas on) but diggers, no bloody way. Just no.

stubbornstains · 23/05/2015 22:26

Because diggers are fucking boring. Diggers diggers diggers. Tractors tractors tractors. Cars cars cars cars cars cars cars fucking cars. Mummy's little soldier/terror/yobbo/vortex of destruction. Daddy's little football star. Blue blue blue blue blue blue blue blue blue blue........kill me now.

I did find some second hand on eBay (think they're Next) that had eggs, with faces on, in egg cups. Now that's a refreshing change....Grin.

Ilovenannyplum · 23/05/2015 22:28

Ooohhh stubborn, they sound right up DS's street! Wink
