How small will the baby be? She has been told he will be born by the weekend and i wanted to buy something for him to wear as she has no prem clothes.

Difficult to say. My BIL's ex has just had a baby 10 weeks early weighing 3lb. Good luck to her.

I think they tend to give them hospital clothes to wear as they are in special care. You can get "tiny baby" clothes from mothercare. I think they sell them by baby's weight.

3-5 lbs would prob be too big. Remember they lose weight after birth too. Baby may not be in clothes as yet anyway. good luck

Hi

Good luck to your friend and her little one, mu dd was born at 35wk and was 4lb 15, which was a good weight apparantly, I would wait and see what size he/she is before buying anything,

hth, Lisa x

this happened to my friend a couple of months ago - he was just over 4lb. he is doing well though, healthy, just small and was home by his due date.

My waters broke at around the same stage, and they warned me that DS would be born within 72 hrs. Actually, he arrived 8 weeks later. So maybe she'll be able to keep him growing for a bit longer. Here's hoping all goes well, anyway.

babysRus do some 'premature' clothes - and I think so do Tescos!

Hi Marne... How is your friend doing? My waters broke at 27 weeks, and I'm now 30+5 and still hanging on in there!
