Anyone full term and nervous?

I'm full term and nervous thinking that I could go into labour at anytime.

It's my second so I should be more prepared but if anything I'm even more scared.

It's the not knowing whether the baby will be early, late, I hope that I get some warning signs.

Just try to distract yourself. It is a waiting game at the end, but as the adage goes "a watched kettle never boils".

Yep, me! It's my due date today.

I'm spending these last few days as if I were on holiday! Going out for lunch with my friend today; spent yesterday lounging around in the garden. It's the only way I can get through it!

I'm 32 weeks with my second and definitely more nervous this time round, because I know what to expect Confused. I was in blissful ignorance last time!

Me, I'm 40+2. Was booked for a sweep yesterday but didn't get one as they were too busy sweeping more overdue women. I'm not uncomfortable or impatient or anything but would really have liked to know what condition my cervix is in ha!
The baby's head is still free and I've had no signs of anything happening whatsoever.
Im still calm but am getting a bit worried I'll have to be induced. And everyone texting me asking me if I've had the baby is mightily enraging.

39 weeks with second, and yes! I think for me it's because of logistics for DS1, I've got my mum all set up to come down and friends on call if it kicks off at night, but then what if it stop/starts or happens so quickly that I'm in massive pain when DS is still around or or or.....whereas last time there wasn't all that to worry about!!

Uh and I just got a text that an acquaintance who was due tomorrow had her baby yesterday! SIL was due on 12th and had her baby on the 5th. Another friend had her baby yesterday. All first babies too! I am the last one of all I know, boo!

Me, a bit!

41 weeks today with DC3. But baby possibly breech (last month history of unstable lie, breech, transverse, and hospital admissions), meaning despite 2 previous home births may now be a hospital birth (wanted another HB), and if still breech, higher chance of em CS. Have ECV and ARM booked for tomorrow morning (remnant of when i was transverse), but that would mean i can't come home for birth. Midwife has just offered me sweep today - hopefully she can tell me if breech still, as if not, i can cancel tomorrow and hang out at home waiting for it to kick off naturally

Plus I'm just fed up with being pregnant!

Sorry to hear that mayfairmummy, these babies just don't play ball do they?

I'm hoping for a home birth this time.

Hope that your baby turns in time.

Thanks, Pyjama... how are you feeling today? I think HB much more chilled than the hospital as there's just not that need to worry about 'do i need to go in now' kind of thing (plus sooooo many other reasons). Best of luck that you get it!

I saw my mw yesterday, and she's confirmed head down (along with a backup check from a 2nd mw, given my history) and she gave me a very, ahem, thorough sweep while I was in. Knocked me about a bit last night; thought i might have been going into labour but sadly no.

Good news though in that I cancelled my ECV (and ARM) as unnecessary and am now just on the wait for a HB..... as long as she comes in the next 6 days (otherwise i'm over the 42 week mark).
