Help.
My son has had it for three days and now has antibiotic drops.
I've now got it and aware that I can't use what he is as in pregnant. Surely there is something other than 'just cleaning it with water' !!
It just doesn't work?
Anyone else suffered whilst pregnant ?

You can get your gp to prescribe drops - they sting like mad though!

I had conjunctivitis in both eyes a few weeks ago, I was given some water based drops, kept my eyes cleaned and bathed regularly and it cleared up in a week to 10 days

If it's viral conjunctivitis there's nothing you can do really, just need to wait for it to pass.

Is there anyone you can beg a favour from to pick up the prescription for you?

I had it in my second trimester. Cleared up within 36 hours with the drops. Doctor advised me to bath eyes with cotton wool
Pad soaked in warm water/dash of baby shampoo. Make sure you use a fresh cotton pad each each/each dip! Was soothing.

I have been bathing with water but getting worse. Drs is closed now until Monday. They did the prescription over the phone last thing yesterday so didn't get chance to collect before they closed. :-(
