I am 34+6 weeks pregnant with cpp. I have been on hospital bed rest for 9days!!!!! Going crazy. Been bleeding every day not extremely heavy but like a period. I keep getting told due to constant bleeding will deliver 36w and next consultants I see will say I'd rather try wait out till 38!! They basically are waiting for a big bleed or baby to become distressed and then will be an emc section!!!! Anyone had constant bleeding with pp? I've only heard of people having big bleed then stop then back again. I have two other DC it's heartbreaking not seeing them everyday. Any advice thanks so much

No advice, but just wanted to wish you well with the bedrest. I was on bedrest in hospital when pregnant with DC2, DC1 was two years old, and it was awful, so hard to stay calm and relaxed about it in hospital! But DC1 took it really well at the time - dad and grandparents were great, fussed over him lots. After about 4 days, he stopped wanting to come and see me in hospital - I couldn't play with him and it was boring to be there. This was heartbreaking for me but I knew it meant he was basically ok. I spent 7 weeks on bedrest (not all of it in hospital) and then had two weeks of normality before DC2 was born - can report that DC1 doesn't seem to have suffered at all from any of this, loved his brother from the start and didn't seem to have missed me especially...Sad - they are now 7 and 5 and as thick as thieves. So just want to reassure you that you will get through it ok and family life will resume!

Thanks that's really assuring to no. My DC1 is 4 n half and DC2 is 1 n half. So it's extremely hard. I think it would be a great idea if hospitals had play room/cafe for mothers/fathers in hospital for a while. How was your birth? Did u have pp also? Thanks again Flowers

No, no pp, so was able to deliver normally. My first son was born at 32 weeks so the second time everyone was particularly attentive - I made it to 36 weeks with DC2, thanks to the bed rest. Now I am 25 weeks pregnant with DC3 - not on bed rest (yet) but off work and trying to spend as much time as possible on the sofa. It's definitely easier this time because the kids are older - I didn't want to get pregnant again until the youngest one was old enough to understand if I dropped out for a while. So far so good, but it's early days yet - I really hope I don't end up in hospital. Really hope you either stop bleeding, or at least they can give you a good reason for an elc at 36-37 weeks, so you don't have so long to wait! At least if I go into hospital this time, I have a smart phone and can download radio podcasts and things - last time (over 5 years ago) didn't have any of those things, it was awful...

Good luck! Flowers
