Ok so im managing to volunteer to drive for the nights out so I avoid drinking without suspicion...what excuse can I use to stop a friend smoking near me without giving up the reason why?? Its in places like the car so I cant just walk away and ive never been slightly fussed before despite being a non smoker so I can't just say not in my car etc .......help!!

Could you say you're having tests for asthma or something like that? Random but could be true.

Get your car valeted (or Hoover it and big spritz of febreze) and say you want to keep it smoke free.

Could you maybe say you are trying for a baby and really dont want to take any risks?

Or could you say your partner/ family member is using your car and has complained about smoking for whatever reason?
