I was advised to start taking aspirin 75 mg from the moment I got a positive pregnancy test. Due to my previous pregnancy where I developed early serve pre eclampsia with hellp syndrome. I've experienced bleeding in this pregnancy and I'm wondering if the aspirin is contributing to this? I know some women take it to prevent miscarriages but I'm worried that I didn't bleed in my previous pregnancy and now I'm taking aspirin I am. I'm so confused. I'm not sure if I've miscarried or if I'm having a break through bleed. I'm nearly 6 weeks. Sorry if this is the wrong board to post this question.

Do you have an early pregnancy support unit near by? Although bleeding in early pregnancy is quite common, it's best to get checked out with your history, just in case.
Aspirin shouldn't really be connected with bleeding. It acts as a blood thinner and is recommended to women who've suffered from recurrent miscarriage as it can help with preventing clotting issue. Which causes some miscarriages. I was recommended it fit my third pregnancy. Sadly I miscarried that one also, but it was a missed miscarrige so in fact no bleeding to alert me.
There's many stories on these boards of women bleeding in pregnancy but having healthy babies. However, there's always the less fortunate stories too. So best get yourself checked over so out your mind at rest.
