Where were you when you went in to labour?

And/or what were you doing?

With DD I was supposed to be being induced but in the end she decided to come without encouragement but fairly speedily, so it was just as well I was in hospital already!

Am now 36+3 with #2 and wondering how s/he will make his/her appearance, especially having dreamt last night that I was in labour!

Booked in for an induction on the Sunday but my waters broke on Saturday morning. Went for a check up at the hospital and they decided to keep me in even though contractions hadn't started cos dd's heart rate was fast. So hospital.

In bed at home. It was 5am and I got a sudden pain and thought I was about to have diarrhoea.

Rushed well, waddled really out to the loo and my waters broke and I had a bloody show.

I was 39+1

Currently 32+5 with DC 2 & 3 and whilst it's way too early to want to be in labour, I cannot wait to have these babies safely out

On number 3 I just went back to sleep for the rest of the night after my waters went. No sense hanging around the labour ward for the night.

That's amazing msnamechange Grin

Mine went as I was brushing my teeth. I was naked so it seemed a bit like Niagra Falls because there were no knickers to catch them lol.

I'd just sat down to watch Kirstie and Phil after a day clearing out the basement, taking things to the tip and doing a full supermarket shop. Think DS was waiting for me to stop and bloody well sit down (he's 4 now and nothing's changed).

My first was at home, contractions started about 5pm, my waters didn't break, went to hospital at 9am and he was born by emergency c section later that afternoon after he showed signs of distress.

Second I turned over in bed and felt a pop, I'd just had a brand new mattress so got up really quickly and sat on the toilet. I hadn't finished packing my hospital bag so did that and got to hospital 2hrs later, he was born 2 hours after that.

A seemingly common one as I read the other posts so far - waters broke in bed, 5 am

Pretty much the same as you with your DD! I had pre eclampsia and was sent to hospital by the midwife at my 41wk appointment! They said DD had to come out, but I went into labour whilst waiting for induction.

To be honest I think I'd been in labour for a few hours, or even a day or so.

My waters went at 3am when I was 37 + 1. I was asleep and woke up thinking I'd wet the bed! I didn't progress so was induced the next day.

With both DDS at home in bed. Never had the waters breaking thing. With dd1 waters broke as she was born, with dd2 it was just a trickle, which mW refused to believe was my waters.

Climbing the stairs to go to bed at 10pm, had a massive contraction. Decided not to say anything to DH as it could be ages. Couldn't get to sleep as they were 5 mins apart, and then woke DH up at 12.30am when my waters broke in bed.

Currently 36+6 and wondering similar about this time!
