So I've had a crappy, horrible week of hardly being able to eat/puking/nausea and a horrible day where my LO cut his finger Sad

My lovely MIL has taken DS for the night so I can get some sleep. My DP suggested we get take out and surprisingly I felt like it...but only Thai Green Curry. Grin

We had to order from a different and more expensive Chinese place that did it and I was really looking forward to it.

Well, it arrived and its brown and thick with pineapple chunks and smells exactly like Chinese chicken curry. Bar chicken it has exactly no common ingredients with a Thai Green Curry. We rang them and they checked with their chef who insisted it was Thai Green Curry.Hmm

So disappointed I actually cried. I know in the grand scheme of things it's really not that bad and totally an over reaction but wah!

Sad

Any other out of proportion pregnancy upsets to make me feel less like a crazy person?

Totally understandable. When you want a Thai green curry then that's what you want! Argh!! Idiots!
I'm 10 weeks and fuming pretty much constantly. My dh and ds are looking nervous most of the time....
Can't wait til I can tell people the reason I'm on such a short fuse!
Wish you could wash down the skank curry with lashings of gin, have another go at getting the dinner of dreams tomorrow?!

I'd probably cry about that if I weren't preg!

They are utter twunts.

Couldn't stomach the smell of the other IMPOSTER curry either. DP has left a rather scathing Just Eat review! Which made me feel a little better. Grin

jaffa if I'm totally honest with myself, I think I'd be raging if I wasn't pregnant too!

I really don't think people should mess with pregnant people and food.

I would be consulting the Trades Descriptions Act and trying to sue for hurt feelings Grin

Haha...love it!

They are lucky I don't drive. I think I would have hulked up there a sobbing, snotty terrifying mess and doused the chef in coconut milk so he could actually become acquainted with it !

Will call trading standards and sob about the inclusion of the pineapple. I feel that's possibly the most offensive aspect...

I cried in an American dinner when I was pregnant once because they ran out of maple syrup. ( when I say cry, I meant full on broke down)

Im 21 weeks and still like this where food is concerned. I have turned into someone who is so particular about my food its madness. I had hg until 18 weeks and only just started eating properly but it has to be exactly as I want it or I won't touch It. Dh thinks I'm a bit crazy but when you feel ill all the time when you do want to eat it has to be right. I would of had a melt down if that was me ....

We got a takeaway curry last weekend and I couldn't eat mine because it was spicy (usually I love really hot food) and it was giving me heartburn. And they sent us a meat starter rather than the veggie one we ordered and I shouted at my partner because he was poking it with a spoon and I thought he was going to put it on his plate (we're vegetarian). It was the worst thing ever.
