as the title suggests, I have 6 days until due date, I have 16 until induced if I go over, to be honest I just want a moan.

I am so drained and look so Crap it's unbelievable. I've had a stitch all day in my side, my knees are killing, I've had a upset tummy today and feel very nauseous, I'm soooooo tired too, I never sleep during the day but today im dead on my feet (not a good thing with having a 2yo DD)

how did you all feel in the immediate run upto labour? any of the above? I'm clinging on to any symptom that labour is happening v.soon Sad

You poor love, it is absolutely bloody exhausting especially with a 2 year old. Try and put your feet up and rest as much as possible. Alternatively stick 2yo in buggy and head out for a mega brisk walk to get things going. Is this your 2nd or have you got more at school?

As to the run up to labour I had loads of braxton hicks with the first two, DS1 a premie at 33 weeks, DD at 38 weeks, DS2 however just sat there all nice and comfy with no warnings at all until my waters went.

I just have one other DD, none at school thank goodness I think I'd leave them there today Wink

my DD is three in march, she's currently playing playdoh and watching a movie while I cabbage on the sofa in my very attractive batman onesie! I don't feel too bad today though as we've been to playgroup all morning

I've had horrendous BH pretty constant for last 4 days or so, they were very mild prior to that but have really picked up. also last Friday mw said baby was 1/5 engaged, which she has never been engaged before this, but I know she can move up again :(

I feel dead needy and emotional today, I want my OH Sad

Did you get lots of bh with dd? Sounds quite promising! Are you ready, bad packed, legs shaved, minge trimmed? (Don't think I did any of the latter, couldn't bloody reach!). Are you hospital or home birth?

I did towards the end, none as intense as this time. Yeah everything packed, legs and foof taken care of Grin haha. I keep feeling like I need to pee constantly aswell, as though I'm never finished. It's all getting a bit annoying actually.

I'm hospital birth, gutted I can't labour in the pool though. too much of a fatty Blush it really annoys me actually, my friend is a bit heavier than me, but also around half a foot taller, because of this her bmi is under so she can have a water birth :( it's still technically the same weight that would need lifting out the pool should there be any problems Hmm

ah! I hope it happens soon. I think I'm as ready as I'll ever be, still pop my head around the nursery door and wonder why it's full of baby paraphernalia...

I never had a pool birth, not entirely sure why really, probably too busy completely abusing the gas and air. God I loved that stuff, with DS3 (home birth) 3 hours disappeared and then he was here, all very bizarre. Mine are getting big now, 13, 11 and 7, I miss all that baby stuff. Not the babies! Just the pushchairs! I now have lots of vacuum cleaners.....

RavioliOnToast · 29/01/2015 14:32

Haha I know exactly what you mean about pushchairs, DD is currently on her 14th (from being newborn) so that includes prams aswell. I'm not entirely sure what to do about her when this one comes along. DH is taking 2 weeks paternity and then 2 weeks holiday so that'll be a big help, but when he's back at work and it's just me I think I'll struggle. I don't have a car and DD is still only 2, I'm looking at getting a buggy board, was going to get a double buggy, icandy or oyster max but as DD will be at nursery come April it seemed a bit pointless. argh, I'm literally propping eyes open with matchsticks now Sad

14 pushchairs? Ravioli, I salute you, you're a legend. You'll definitely need a double though, DD1 will be knackered after nursery. Just not one of those horrid shove the baby underneath monstrosities, it always looks like the pusher is going to kick them in the head!

bagofsnakes · 29/01/2015 14:36

7 days for me!
I am also bloody knackered today and also have a 2 year old but he is in childcare today, which is sweet relief. Lucky to not really have much in the way of aches and pains right now but I'm certainly not the most comfortable that I've ever been! Like you I've had a ton of BH over that past week.
Yesterday I was getting really frustrated but feeling a lot more relaxed today.
Here's hoping we pop soon!

I may get a buggy board initially and see how that goes first, the nursery is literally at the top of our road, maybe 10 minutes walking? I have a beautiful wayfarer for DD2 sitting upstairs atm. DD1 is pretty independent and hates going in her buggy now but will ask to be carried when she gets tired. the buggyboard would mean that she can hop on when she gets a bit exhausted. with her being at nursery every morning too, anywhere in need to go (town, supermarkets Etc) I could do while she is there?

ahh isn't it so exciting! We've got moses basket in our room still wrapped but always look at it on a night now and think how soon she's going to be in it Grin

Not long for either of you now, wonder who'll pop first! Enjoy your single babies for the few days you have left, it's great when no 2 arrives but very different. If she's a pushchair hater then buggy board sounds great, we never had one but they did used to stand on the basket for a ride.

Hi. I've 9 days til my due date and can totally relate to you. Feel rubbish, I've no energy and am shattered but can't sleep well, everything aches too. Had dd off school unwell this week so been unable to grab a quick nap during the day. Would love some braxton hicks or anything to suggest labour is on its way. I went 5 and 10 days overdue with our older 2 and have never experienced an obvious pre labour symptom. Good luck to you, hope it's soon for you Smile

I've had some braxton hicksGrin this is my 3rd dc and I've never experienced them before. Other than that, absolutely nothing. Anyone else have any signs?

Tuff, other than bh I had absolutely no signs with dc3, waters popped at 12.30am he arrived at 03.40, all very quick.

bagofsnakes · 31/01/2015 09:20

Absolutely nothing! I was convinced that I was going into labour on Tuesday afternoon/evening but everything went away and nothing since.
My DC1 arrived at 39 weeks and I am now 39+2 so even though my due date isn't until next week I'm getting really impatient. Second babies are supposed to be earlier I thought!

Report
tuffgingernut · 31/01/2015 17:32

Juggling, I'd love that labour, so quick! My first was a bit dramatic but did start like yours with waters going, 2nd started with regular contractions. Was overdue with them both but more so with number 2.
