Hi everyone,
Maybe TMI so apologies in advance.
Im about 4/5 weeks pregnant i had a MMC at the beginning of November.
Last sunday i started bleeding it was bright red but quickly turned brown i had my hcg checked monday they was 1900 then again wednesday they was 3600 I been itchy down there and noticed some white stuff so spoke to triage who said it could be thrush and prescribed canesten cream now after putting the cream on i had another red bleed just wondering if thrush can cause bleeding as the dr i spoke to said it cant and that the cream cant cause it either he did say my levels are rising as expected in a healthy pregnancy :/ just so confused & want the bleeding to stop xx

Hi ther sorry to hear you are worried. It sounds v unlikely that a bright red bleed could be connected to thrush or the cream. I think you should call your doc/ midwife or if they have a maternity helpline at the hospital, hopefully these would be listed in your notes. I am 37 weeks now and had thrush right the way through but no problems like you describe, which could only really be connected if you were scratching a LOT, enough to make it bleed.

They will take you seriously because of your medical history so don't be worried about calling them. Good luck.

Go to your maternity assessment unit! I had really bad thrush and I tiny brownish bit of spotting! Basically it turned out after an internal examination I had a little graze just inside my vagina and the thrush obviously made everything sore and worse! They did a few swabs everything was fine and is fine with the baby! So they prescribed a weeks worth of thrush pessarys and I'm fine! So just go get your self checked out! I'm sure you'll be fine!
