How pregnant are you? I had fairly heavy bleeding at 4 and again at 5 weeks. All ended up okay, I am now 15weeks. Scan showed a blood clot which has now been reabsorbed. This is fairly common.
See your GP asap and ask for a referral to EPU, or speak to midwife if you have had your booking appt.

I had a bleed when I was about ten weeks pregnant. It seemed like a terrifying amount of blood at the time. The baby I was so worried about is 6 years old now.
I hope everything is ok for you.

I had a massive blood loss at 13 weeks, went to hospital and was told gently that they thought I'd mc. Went for a scan and he was still in there. He's 14 now Smile

I hope everything is ok.

Bled at 8 weeks with DD1 and at 10 weeks with DD2. Both fine healthy babies, full term.

Really hoping you are just passing a clot or having an implantation bleed.

Bleeding can mean something or nothing, but you can't tell without a scan, unfortunately, which one of those things it is and even the colour of the blood can't always give you an indication.

I had some bleeding around 10-11 weeks with DS1 and he's now seven-years-old. I hope the news is good for you.

I've sat on both sides of this.
With my first pregnancy, I had no bleeding then miscarried suddenly at 12 wks, the day before my first scan.

With my second pregnancy, I bled on and off for the first 3 months, then went on to have a perfectly healthy baby boy (now 2 yrs). My bleeding was sometimes so heavy that it would be running down my legs before I got to the loo to sort myself out. I got a reassurance scan each time which confirmed all was fine.

Basically, bleeding doesn't have to mean anything is wrong, but it also could be a sign of something sinister to come and a scan is the only way of knowing. Every woman and every pregnancy is different.

Try thinking positively, as most pregnancies turn out just fine.

My friend naked all the way through her pregnancy - to the point she was hospitalised twice and nearly needed a transfusion. She had placenta previa. Totally uneventful planned CS and beautiful healthy baby girl Smile

I had big bleed at 13 weeks a few hours after nuchal fold scan. I had a number of further bleeds until 20 weeks. Then I was in and out of hospital with pregnancy induced hypertension culminating in last month of pregnancy a permanent feature on anti natal inpatients. DS was born at 36 weeks.
He is now sat next to me watching Harry Potter, a bright, tall, sporty 10 yr old.
I had had a number of miscarriages before hand but only had mild spotting with these to indicate anything was wrong.

I had a heavy bleed at 14 weeks and 21 weeks with DD, and another at 16 weeks with DS. Healthy 4 year old and 8 month old asleep upstairs now. All horrendous at the time, but now a distant memory. I really hope it goes the same way for you Flowers

I bled at 5 weeks, then pretty much all the time ( v lightly) from 30 weeks. My son is 4 next month Smile

i had an extremely heavy bleed (with clotting) at 16 (or 14 cant remember) weeks, he's 9 now

The dr said "lots of women have this, but the drs go in too quickly to d&c and at that point its too late" make sure you have a scan BEFOre you make any decisions xxx

good luck

Had heavy bleeding with clots at 6 weeks in my first pregnancy and then another lighter bleed, about once a month, until about 24 weeks. He's now an 11 year old, chattering away whilst writing Christmas cards.

Just wanted to add mine, had a bleed 6 weeks into my first pregnancy and sat sobbing at my GP appointment while he sat as far away from me as possible and told me I was having a miscarriage, without making eye contact once.
I was sent to the early pregnancy unit for a scan and had detatched so much from the whole thing, trying to pretend I was immune from the worry . I sat in the waiting room reading a book while anxious couples sat around me.
To my astonishment I was shown the foetus complete with a heartbeat, it seemed like a miracle.
He is a now a monosyllabic, surly (yet gorgeous) 14 year old now Grin

I had a bleed at 8 weeks, then again at 13 weeks and everything was fine. I had extra scans, just to make sure, but all was well. I think mine were brought on by flight pressure as both were after European flights. Healing thoughts that everything is fine for you too Flowers

Just adding my support.
I bled to the point of haemorrhage with both of mine. Lots and lots of blood, clots etc. Their 6 and 2 now.
