My baby's abdominal circumference had leapt up to the 97th centile at the 32 week growth scan I had. I was diet controlling my blood sugar at that point. I got stricter and started monitoring 4x a day instead of 2x a day and the growth had slowed up a little by 34 weeks, but they still prescribed Metformin. Baby is still big, but as it's breech I'm having an ELCS at 39 weeks anyway. There can be issues with shoulder dystocia if the baby's torso gets too big.

So yeah, short answer, they may prescribe Metformin or insulin.

Thanks for your answer. I've been told that I won't be on medication as it's too late!
