whats the earliest they can detect the baby on the scan??

got a scan 2morrow at the EBAU im sapposed to be 7 weeks just woundering whats the earlist they can detect???

They can often see a sac at 4-5 weeks, but there's not much to see apart from an empty sac, which doesn't tell you much. Then around 5-6 weeks you'd start to be able to see some structures in the sac. If you are 7 weeks, then on a vaginal scan you should be able to see a yolk sac and fetal pole, and quite likely a heartbeat (although it'd be too early to panic if they can't see a heartbeat yet).

I had a scan at 5 weeks where it showed a sac but they couldn't see anything in it.

I then went back for a scan at 7 weeks and you can see a little blob with a heart beating!!

be warned the scan will be internal

I had one in last pregnancy and didn't expect it to be a knickers off job (I do like to be prepared you know)

same as beni1 fives weeks just a sac then two weeks later blob with a heart beat.

DS2 was picked up at around at 5 weeks by accident.
