I'm 34 and I've been TTC for 8 years.
At my last appointment with my fertility doctor I was told that I'd need ovulation fertility drugs, probably with IUI, possibly IVF, so she put me on the waiting list and advised me to loose a lot of weight to help with my PCOS.
So I decided that whilst I was waiting I'd go back to school and re-train as a childcare worker, a job I'd always wanted to do.

Last night I found out that I'm pregnant naturally, and it's a big shock.
A wonderful surprise, but a surprise nonetheless.
I'm feeling rather unprepared.....

Amazing, congratulations!

I think it's normal to feel unprepared, I know I do! Just try to enjoy it.

Congrats again ThanksThanksThanks

Congratulations! It does feel really surreal. I hadn't been trying as long as you, but was told I needed an op to sort out my tubes and then fell pregnant on a bit of a fluke.

I went to my GP straightaway as I also have thyroid issues and they advised me to get an early scan to check everything was ok. So I had a scan at 6 and 8 weeks. Maybe you could ask for something similar?

Try and enjoy it! I was extremely anxious at first and really worried, but it's all fine now and I'm 15 weeks.

Congratulations. Normal to feel unprepared. Start taking frolic acid today!
