Comfy shoes/boots for a whale?

I'm 25 weeks with no.3 and I'm physically in bits! Don't know if it's coz I'm 35 or it's no.3 or I've been so busy in work that I've spent most of this pregnancy sitting on my ass with barely time for a walk but I am seriously worried about the next 15 weeks!

My bump is ginormous, my joints are stiff, my back aches some days, I can't get comfy on the couch already & an hour of activity (like shopping, not hill walking) wipes me out completely.

Also my feet get sore so fast, even in my favourite boots which are so comfy & if I have a busy active day I feel it big time that evening. It's do bad I even found myself looking on the Echo website!!!

Any recommendations for shoes or preferably boots, given winter is coming, that are comfy and supportive? I've fat calves so ankle boots and although I'm not a slave to fashion I couldn't bring myself to buy Fit Flops or the winter equivalent for another 20 years so something that looks alright if poss!

Uggs??? I love Uggs, I live in them most winters??? Can be pricey but even a replica style might be good and cosy and comfy xx

Ecco are good and have arch support in most of their shoes which makes a big difference. I do find, however, that I have to try them on as the sizes aren't consistent. I also recommend soles that are reasonably thick, so you don't feel every bone in your foot when you walk.
I was in Italy last week and the thick crepe soled look was very popular for A/W 14.
This website also has a wide range of comfy shoes.

Again, a bit pricey and not to everyone's taste (think quirky chunky) but Art Company shoes are amazing, always loads on ebay and I think you can mail order them. I can't recommend them enough.

A second vote for UGGs, the utterly perfect pregnancy treat. Like cosy clouds on your feet and worth every penny.

I treated myself to another pair of uggs this year for exactly this reason. My poor fat and swollen pregnant feet will be thanking me once winter arrives. I don't like the look of them tbh but comfort first!

There must be some good makers if riding boots? With low heels. I do know that they come in various calf widths.

I think that unless you wear trousers with them, or a mini skirt, ankle boots don't look great.

I got some snow boots at the weekend in brantano that look ok under jeans and fasten with velcro so ideal for pregnancy

Clarkson. I've just got myself some pull-on, leather ankle boots with a rubber sole. Perfect for my 35 week waddle to and from the bus stop in slippery conditions - and I can't bend over to do laces or zips so pull-on was a must. Cost £90 but my feet and ankles are grateful!

I really think you can't beat trainer / running shoes. You can get some v.cool black with neon and you can wear them with black tights and skirts casually.

Otherwise I am wearing clogs Smile

I know that sounds mad but they are so wide and whispers orthopedic
My feet are really comfy and I have a boot pair with sheepskins soles Halloween Grin

Thanks all. Have uggs and fit them utterly unsupportive even when not pregnant! Think I'll just get ankle boots with a low heel (often think flats are worse) & wear trainers more. Needs must!

Have heard Birkenstock insoles good to so might try them.

FitFlops! I own three pairs of their ballet flats and don't know how I wore anything else during my last pregnancy. This website usually has a good deal on them www.shoetique.co.uk/ and they actually have a sale on the boots right now, ends tonight though.

Another vote for Uggs. I'm the same, after an hour or so my feet feel like I have been walking all day!

Never really worn Uggs before as they aren't really my style but honestly they are SO comfortable Grin

Ahh just noticed you don't want Uggs - ignore me Grin
