I am pregnant and was wondering about the VBAC issue. I had an emergency Ceasar first time round but have been told that there is every chance I could have a natural birth this time....but Im not sure I can cope??

I had a VBAC with DS2 - I won't deny it I had to be induced and it was absolute hell (mainly due to painrelief that didn't work) ..........BUT I'm pg again (still early days) and even vaguely considering a home birth !

Hi Anasaskia, lots of threads about this at the moment! I have had a vbac (and she was big and back to back!) all fine with no problems. I am 15 weeks pregnant now and might be venturing into home birth territory this time too!

My third was a vbac. Even with some complications, I was very glad I'd done it.

Hi I have had 2 VBAC's. They were great (well as much as a birth can be). I did have a 2nd degree tear but that was nothing to a section. I actually wanted to feel the pain of birth as I really felt I had missed out (must been insane!) with the c/s.

i had a VBAC 13 months after my emergency CS, no problem. Midwife was comfortable to go with it as i had almost fully dilated the previous time, apparently this helps as your body has been there before. Had another natural birth 15 months after that too. I wish you luck, the best thing is not to worry too much. I was advised to have baby in hospital in case of complications.

Problem is first time round I was 2wks overdue and had to be induced. I wasnt having any contractions without the aid of the drugs...so I dont know what a contraction feels like ....didnt have any Braxtons either!

I had an emergency cs with my first after an induction. In my experience the contractions felt during an induction are much, much more painful and intense.
2 years later I had a very succesful vbac with my dd. I woke up in labour and she was born 4 hours later with just gas and air.
It was very therapeutic for me as I had felt very traumatised by the birth of ds and this was so peaceful and simple in comparison.
Am pg again and will definitely try for a vbac again.
