Just wanted to tell my positive story on here as a thanks for all and any help I hadGrin

I wrote a thread on Thursday morning when I was concerned about the amount of times I was peeing... You guys told me to speak to my gp, which I did, and so I slept like a baby Thursday night!!

Friday on the other hand... Went and saw midwife for routine appointment, baby engaged but she didn't think anywhere near ready... Never slept on Friday night due to terrible pain in my right hip! Woke up at 10am sat, had a bath, and had constant pains alllllll day from there.

Jokingly said to my DP that they were hitting me every 5 minutes for 30ish secs, at 3 he rang midwifes who said I 'didn't sound too bad so to stay at home unless waters broke', mum came over, I stood up, waters gushed and were pretty bloody!!! Rang midwifes at 5, they said to come in but that everyone in my area goes through to triage to be checked so that if they aren't in established labour they get sent home. She hooked me up to a baby heartbeat and uterus movement machine for half an hour... Which said I was having contractions every 2 minutes even tho I only felt them every 5-6 mins... Went to check my waters had gone and told me I was 10cm, she couldn't believe it and the head was coming down!!!

Fast forward by an hour, some gas and air literally had me laugh my 8lb baby into the world! GrinGrinGrin

Moral of the story... Gas and air are the best things ever... As has been watching my perfect dd all night Grin

Good luck everyone else and don't ever panic! We are made for this birth thing and all of you will do fab GrinSmileGrin
