Waiting for miscarriage

I think I already know what the outcome will be but just wondering if there is anyone else that has been through a similar thing !!!
I am 10 weeks pregnant & starting having a few pains yesterday morning. I went to hospital to get checked, Dr's original thought was eptopic pregnancy. Following ultrasound I was told that there had been no development since week 6 and no heartbeat. If this is the case I've been carrying for 4 weeks with no sign of any problems. I am now bleeding slightly but been told I'm likely to miscarry in the next week or so, however, this is not 100%. Has anyone experienced this with a positive outcome or am I clutching at straws ??? Thanks Sam x x x

No experience I'm afraid but didn't want to read & run. Sorry to hear what's potentially happening Flowers

I don't know anyone who has had a positive outcome but I didn't want to read and leave. Unfortunately you can't change what will be. Maybe it will have a positive outcome. That could be that you feel affirmed that you can get pregnant, which is no mean feat, and that you try again soon. I'm sorry for you and thinking of you x

I should add actually that this happened to a friend of mine, sadly several times. Her happy outcome is that she is now the very happy mum to a gorgeous little boy who she would never have created had she not been through the bad times first. I've miscarried twice too and hopefully the one I'm carrying now will make it. Your baby will come and when you hold it in your arms you'll be so pleased he or she did.

I'm sorry to hear this, it sounds like a miscarriage is the most likely option. If you look on the miscarriage boards, there's a thread there telling you what to expect. I found this helpful but a little scary. In my case it wasn't as bad as the descriptions there but it helped to be prepared.

I'm pregnant again after a mc, it happens all the time!

I've been through a missed miscarriage too, so I really feel for you. Nurse told me miscarriage would happen on it's own, I waited 2 weeks and nothing, so I had medical management (a sort of pessary type thing). After that it happened within a couple of hours. Some cramping and heavy bleeding but soon felt back to normal.

Hope it goes ok for you xxx

Hello there, feel very sad for you at this time. Its very likely its over you should be able to see the foetus clearly at 10 weeks. Have they offered you a chance to come back in a week to see if there is any change? it could take a while to miscarry naturally. On my second one I went to a private scan unit to have it resolved as I could not stand the wait again. Do you know what to expect? Inbox me if you want to talk about it xxx
