HOW did your 'morning' sickness start?

I can't remember from my first but did you just just wake up one morning and feel/be sick?
Did it come on gradually?
Did you feel more and more sick each day until one day you actually vomit?

Felt nauseous one morning, got into the bath and immediately got out to be sick. I felt nauseous until 13 weeks but was only sick twice.

Started as a "hangover" feeling which lasted about 5 days and then woke up one morning and needed to throw up instantly. Had all day sickness for 14 weeks.
Not nice. Still panic when I have an off day now just incase it's returning.

It started as a vague sea sick feeling, complete with wobbly legs and light headedness. With both pregnancies it started before I'd though to POAS.

Felt queasy for a few days, then progressed into throwing up. About four months of it for DS1, a week for DS2, although I did feel queasy a lot longer with DS2.

I woke up in the middle of the night/early hours of the morning and ran to the bathroom. I was violently ill every hour or so and assumed I had picked up a tummy bug. It had faded to waves of nausea by the middle of the day but came back with a vengeance the following night/early morning. This cycle went on for days. After the fourth or fifth day I realised my period was late and POAS, which was positive and I was delighted, not least because it meant I didn't have some horrible lurgy! I did however go on to develop full blown hyperemesis, ended up with repeated hospital admissions and was still being sick every day at 41 weeks, so I realise this is not exactly typical. But in answer to your question OP, no I had no run-up or warning signs at all.

Very sudden, already knew I was pregnant but only found out a day or so before. On the day I found out was dizzy, nauseous feeling and two days later just suddenly a gosh I'm about to be sick feeling.

Intense nausea that just came on suddenly a few days after I found out. Never threw up but the all day every day nausea was v v draining and I got pretty down about it. Took away all enjoyment of food too. Lasted till 20 weeks both pregnancies.

Yep woke up one morning, whilst eating breakfast thinking 'shit, I'm gonna be sick' then didn't stop throwing up until about 30 weeks pregnant. Wasn't quite so sick on the other 2 though Smile

Before I knew I was pregnant I'd been out the night before and my toast bounced. I knew it wasn't a hangover, thought 'hmmmmmm'

At eight weeks, on my way to work, as I waited for the lights to change, I projectile vomited out of the window. That continued pretty much until 20 weeks I'm aftaid. God it was awful.

Luckily, now that dd is eight months old and totally delicious, I never think about those dark days any longer. Funny how we're able to just block it out!

I'm currently five weeks pregnant with my third. Both other times I've had lots of nausea in the first trimester or so, but I can't remember how or when it started. Right now I'm waking up every morning feeling gradually increasingly queasy, like a mild hangover, but it fades quite quickly. I assume it will get worse and start lasting longer as I progress but it may not as every pregnancy can be different.

Well everyone I think mine has started now. I feel hungry nauseous ALL THE TIME. I can't possibly be hungry. Constant sicky feeling started yesterday and continued today. I'm not complaining, it's helping me feel like things are going to work out this time :).

I can't help feeling that if men had to put up with morning sickness a cure would have been found by now. I hate feeling sick all the time.

SuperMumTum- I agree Sad I can pinpoint my moment - I was shopping in asda with my partner- and all of a sudden a massive wave of nausea came over me- felt queasy, hot, dizzy and needed something to eat and drink. I went to the doctors thinking I had a kidney infection or glandular fever. I was around 4-5 weeks at the time. I'm now 9+1 and still feeling the same x

I felt queasy the day I found out, and put it down to nerves + travelling on a train to London with my mum and not being able to tell her! Quease turned into 24/7 nausea for 3 weeks before I started vomitintg. Admitted into hospital overnight with Hyperemesis at 9+5, but once on meds that worked the vomiting slowed right down. Weaned off meds at 16 weeks, nausea and vomiting haven't reappeared again yet (27+4)

I didnt know I was pregnant at this point, but I started feeling very nauseous, and for a few days I was sick. I called my doctor, explained what was happening, and he said I had norovirus. I had crohns disease so have constant dioreha anyway.

The best of it was, there was something in my head telling me that wasnt right, so I bought a test out the pound shop. Peed on it, didnt understand what it said and thought 'f*ck this' threw it in the bin, and went back to bed. The sickness lasted about a week, the nausea a few weeks.

Roll on 4/5 weeks later, I was feeling strange, so bought a CB test just to rule out pregnancy, and it came up positive. 4 more digital tests also showed 3+ weeks positive.

Went for a reassurance scan that week, found out I was 12 weeks pg!!! So my 'norovirus' was actually morning sickness, and I was actually about 7/8 weeks pg.

Still cant quite believe it lol
