Morning all! I'm going on holiday in November. I will be about 21 weeks so I'll need some maternity swimwear (I'm only 12 weeks now and already starting to show). The trouble is, everywhere I look the choices are so frumpy! Have any of you found any nice costumes that don't look designed in the 1920's? I'm going away with the hubby and other family and we have our own pool and I'm more than happy to have my bump out so bikinis are definitely an option!

I've just been on holiday at 30 weeks and wore my usual bikini. At 21 weeks you would also prob get away with a normal tankini if you wanted a more covered up alternative.

I just bought a nice one from Fat Face in sizes that covered me up - I'm usually a size 8 but ended up with a size 14 on top and 12 on the bottom. Who knows how long it will last me after but I've got good use out of it at my weekly aqua yoga sessions and swimming at the pool each week.

Awesome! Thanks everyone. I always forget that 'ordinary' shops sell maternity stuff too! I like the idea of getting away with a normal bikini although I shall need a new one...I tried my current one on the other day and the amount of boob coming out of the sides was definitely not decent! Blush I guess it's just a case of trying things on and seeing what works.

Just been to Spain at 28 weeks and wore my usual bikinis, although like you I could only fit into two of the six I found in the drawer as my boobs were too big for the others.
I have bought a tankini from mothercare for swimming lengths and aquanatal back here. But even at 28 weeks it does ride up a bit around the bump, not enough to be really annoying though.

Not worth spending anything on a badly designed cover-up you'll only wear for a few months imho.

Normal bikinis are great, though at 37+4 I'm now getting a few double takes at the pool! Smile

You might have to buy a bigger bikini top for comfort, but I just wore my usual bikini on holiday at 24 weeks. Could've used a little more support as I'm quite blessed in the chest area, but it was with close friends and our own pool so I wasn't that bothered.
