Hi there.
I just need some reassurance that what I'm going through is normal.
I'm nine weeks pregnant and suffering with horrendous morning sickness. I'm on anti sickness tablets but they don't seem to help. The doc have me some new ones to try and I woke up this morning sick but an hour later I was hungry and then every hour after that all I've been able to do is think about how hungry I am and then hunt for food. Nothing seems to satisfy me Hmm
Is this normal?? What with feeling so poorly I'm so fed up! My first pregnancy was a breeze!! I'm sorry to rant but I feel so low and hubby is not very sympathetic
Thanks xxx

I don't think I was as sick as you but I totally understand the whole feeling sick thing and then feeling hungry. I found cream crackers helped a lot but I am also just eating whatever. Now my sickness has stopped I am worried I am still eating too much but little and often seems to be the key!

Don't worry, I think what you are feeling is fine. I am not sure though- it's my first pregnancy and I am only 13wks, just learning to accept that I am feeling normal and I guess every pregnancy is different.

Good luck x

I have been really lucky and only felt very nauseous, rather than actually being sick but I get the hunger thing!!

It started at 7 weeks and I have literally eaten everything in sight for 2 weeks (now 9 weeks) as it is the only way to stop the nausea. When I am eating one thing, I am lining up what there is to eat next! I stood on the scales this morning and have put on 4 lbs since finding out I was pregnant, could be worse. I think after 12-13 weeks a lot of morning sickness eases off so you can start getting into some eating routine again. For now, I reckon you should just do what your body needs you to do to feel the best you can.

This is normal. I was hungry for carbs constantly because of the sickness. Felt like I had a terrible hangover and needed to eat something constantly in order to feel better, but didn't know what. White bread with chicken or very bland cheese was good. Fries. Salty crisps. This was about all I wanted. Most people start feeling better and resume a normal diet by around 12-14 weeks.

Im 13 weeks now, but at the start I had such bad sickness that the doctor told me I had norovirus! Its only looking back now that I realise I was pregnant and it was actually bad morning sickness.

Was off work for a week and spent the full time in bed!

It has eased off now and I am eating in everything in site. Currently having a toffee crisp for breakfast!

I'm 9+4 and last week I had that crazy hunger. Some days I was constantly grazing on carbs because it was the only thing that would stop the nausea. Crisps, chips, potatoes, toast etc. I seem to be craving salty things.

Thanks for your replies. It's great to know it's normal and other people have the same thing. Having a better day today in that I actually have the energy to sit on the sofa with my little one!! Can't wait to feel a bit more human and get on with things.
