In shock - very sudden size change at 27 weeks

Overnight my body seems to have completely changed. The bump has become a different shape - completely sticking out. My pants have stopped fitting me, I've got piles, my fanjo is swollen. A whole host of clothes which look like they should fit the bump now don't (because the fat around my hips and lower back has increased.) I have water retention in my legs and I look pale and chubby.

The change before was gradual. This was literally overnight.

Is this a point of change that others have experienced too?

Maybe this is oedema? Are your hands and feet swollen too? Any headache? Maybe you could give your midwife or maternity assessment centre a ring and get them to check your blood pressure and see if there is any protein in your urine?
