TMI - Almost 38 weeks, very heavy white discharge

As the title reads, I'm almost 38 weeks and since yesterday I have a lot of white vaginal discharge, it looks like milk.
It doesn't smell offensive, but there is an odour.
No other symptoms such as itchiness or discomfort.

Is this normal, does it mean anything, do I need to get it checked out?

I've had thrush before and pretty certain it's not that.

TIA

Not sure to be honest, might be worthwhile contacting NHS Direct / your midwife if no-one on here is able to help. Better to be safe than sorry x

Is it creamy like mucus? I passed my mucus plug at about 38 weeks but (sorry if tmi) it looked like whitish snot.

You can Google pictures of the mucus plug - it's not pretty but it helps calm fears!!!

Otherwise, call your HCP if you're worrying.

Good luck.

Thanks for replies. I think I will phone and just check.

I'm sure it's not the mucus plug, this is baby #3 and I remember losing it on the other 2 just before labour and there was no mistaking it.

Tmi but it looks like spilt milk, except ever so slightly thicker.

Thanks again.

I've had this for a while now, but the doctor doesnt seem concerned as no itching ot bad smell. Probably best to call though to ease your mind.

I think its probably normal. Google leukorrhea.

Sorry, I did have a link but not all of my posts are working tonight.

I spoke to a midwife and she said it's hormonal and completely normal, especially in 3rd trimester. (As long as no itch or foul smell, in case anyone else is concerned).

Polkadotdelight, I just googled it and that's EXACTLY what it is.

Thanks all Smile
