Hi ladies, not sure if there is already a post for this, but thought it'd be nice to have a spot for all September due dates to keep each other company through the last slog! I'm due September 15th (36 weeks & 6 days). I've had a few scares that this lil one may arrive early! and then there are the other times trying to gear myself up for the long wait. This is DC2, my first one was 8 days over the DD. I'm tired, in pain, have an itchy belly, and am ready to be done being pregnant ... But we're almost there!!

5th September but dc1 was 12 days late! So uncomfortable so hoping it's any day now, had no signs of that though.

Rubyshoe Sun 24-Aug-14 17:43:00

We are having an Induction on Sep 13th at 38 weeks, this is DC2. DD was sadly still born at full term last summer (completely freak event, the consultant had to look it up!). So about 20days to go for me! Am lucky as it hasn't been too bad a pregnancy compared to some poor ladies i have read about on these threads who have had a really rotten time. Am completely unprepared but it would be nice to have some ladies to keep company with while we all wait to go pop!

allisgood1 Sun 24-Aug-14 17:47:14

Induction day is next monday. EEEK.

How are you feeling? This is DC3 and I am feeling crap. Felt fine until Thursday and since have had a return of ms, can eat about 1 or 2 different things, having more frequent tightenings, and seriously exhausted. I haven't left the house in days.

Rubyshoe Sun 24-Aug-14 17:49:53

allisgood poor you! You sound like a woman who has had enough now! Best of luck with your induction on Monday, (am very jealous!) is this your first induction or were you induced with your other DCs?

FoodieMum3 Sun 24-Aug-14 17:55:24

Hi eatscones, I'm also 36+6. This is baby #3 and has been a great pregnancy I have to say.
There is a September antenatal group but I don't have time to keep up with it but browsed and some babies have arrived grin

RedToothBrush Sun 24-Aug-14 18:10:06

Whats wrong with the thread that already exists?

Do we all smell?

allisgood1 Sun 24-Aug-14 18:11:12

ruby thanks. 8 days to go. I have to keep telling myself that without getting into a tiz that on the day they say they are too full

I didn't make induction with number 1 (came the night before), number 2 was induced at 37+4 and took 16 hours start to finish.

I really don't want to make this induction. Sweep on Wed ignoring that I may very well not be favorable and acupuncture Thurs. Need to regain some energy and go walking 3-4 hours every day starting tomorrow!!

What DC is this for you?

allisgood1 Sun 24-Aug-14 18:12:27

red there are too many people on the exsisting thread. I posted there when I first was pregnant about three times and was ignored completely sad It just moves too fast!!

RedToothBrush Sun 24-Aug-14 18:14:09

thats why I am trying to do a regular update list... so no one does get left out. Just say hello and introduce yourself.

No one bites I promise!

Eatscones Sun 24-Aug-14 18:28:58

Thanks for the responses! I checked out the antenatal thread scaevola, thanks for sharing it. Sounds a few are ready to go here! So exciting! I agree I'm a little jealous of your induction date allisgood, but glad they are looking after you! It is good to hear you've had a good pregnancy this far rubyshoes and foodieMum3. It is nice to know some woman do 'glow' when pregnant! Mine are always pretty rubbish (well this is my 2nd) and I always get super sick.. But almost there! And wagamama here is to not having overdue babies second time around smile

EllaBella220 Sun 24-Aug-14 18:58:26

Red We just might smell actually, what with all the dribbling that's been going on in there recently!!

Due 19th Sept with 3rd baby but being induced at 39 weeks due to gestational diabetes. Not sure of a date yet but am hoping the consultant gives me a date at my scan on Tuesday. He'll probably just say come back at 38 weeks and get a date then.

I've had 2 inductions. One a really good experience, the other not so good although after reading many delivery stories on here then it was in no way as bad as some. Hoping for a repeat of induction 1 but also realistic about how babies like to go against everything you want to do and make their grand entrance in their own way!

The September thread did go quite quickly and a lot of people didn't come back but like any other forum you have to just keep posting and people will reply. It would be lovely to see you all over there so we can do some hand holding in the last few weeks. x

CoolCat2014 Sun 24-Aug-14 19:21:10

The September thread does move quickly, but do come and join in anyway!

I'm due on the 2nd. Can't wait!

I'm due sept 3rd and ready for it to be over now! This is DC 2

allisgood1 Sun 24-Aug-14 19:45:51

Ella and anyone else who has been induced: how did the protocol work at your hospital? I have to call between 8-8:30 and will either 1) be given a time to come in 2) told to come now or 3) be told they will call back when theres space. I am now freaking that it will end up option 3, I'll get there and settled and then they'll be like "oh its too late now, go to sleep on this noisy ward and we will start you tomorrow"-- in which case I will leave! With dd2, it was private so I called and they said "come when you're ready but don't rush". Is NHS vastly different?

Eatscones Sun 24-Aug-14 19:58:24

Is the September thread the one posted by Scaevola at the top of this page?? Sorry Red I didn't know of the Sept thread previously, I saw some August and Oct ones on the pregnancy one and just wanted some company this last lil bit! Thanks for being welcoming smile.

EllaBella220 Sun 24-Aug-14 20:19:29

Allisgood..... My last baby was 8 years ago so I'm not too sure if it's changed since then but I haven't heard anyone mention any different so I have assumed it's still the same. I would see the consultant at 40 weeks + however many days overdue (they let you go overdue before seeing you again) who would then give me a date and time to come and be induced. They always say be there for 2pm but nothing ever really gets going til around 5pm (in my experience and friends/family experiences too) in our hospital. That's the time that the doctor would finally come around and do all the checks and insert the pessary. You would be told not to get off the bed for an hour while the pessary did it's job then after that you would be free to move about and walk the corridor but not allowed out of the ward at all.

With my first child the pessary did the trick, inserted at 5pm, contractions started at 10pm and I spent the whole night walking the ward, having a bath and trying to nap between contractions. Off to the delivery suite around 8am and a good experience there as I had an epidural and they broke my waters and that was it.

2nd child decided not to budge after 2 days on the ward and 2 pessaries. First was given at 5pm on induction day, I had contractions about 6 hours later, lasted all night but then stopped! I was knackered after getting no sleep during the night but they still didn't do a pessary until 5pm and then contractions all through the night which stopped again by morning! The nurses had said I would be taken to delivery and put on the drip but they were too busy that day that I ended up having to wait til the following morning at 9am when they tried to say they were too busy again but by that stage I was too tired, emotional and had had enough so I gave off a bit and they finally took me down and started me on the drip. 5 hours later baby was born.

I need to ask this week what their protocol for induction now as it could have changed but I found the 1st process really good, well handled and something I wasn't afraid to repeat. 2nd wasn't so good but I am fully prepared to stand my ground this time and not be left sitting for days not knowing what the plan was.

jaykay34 Tue 26-Aug-14 06:30:35

I'm due on September 21st with baby number 3 (my other two are 11 year old b/g twins who start secondary school next week).

I am really looking forward to baby arriving - I had forgotten the joys of late pregnancy - and have really had enough now. Plus I can't wait to meet him !

allisgood1 Tue 26-Aug-14 19:23:07

How are you ladies doing?

My contractions have ramped up the past couple days. Sweep tomorrow but am dreading "it can't be done and you are no where near ready" news...

Eatscones Tue 26-Aug-14 19:50:29

I've been better than the last little while ... contractions have all stopped and not as much shooting pain down south. Still uncomfortable and lumbering around but nothing to indicate imminent labour ... allisgood1 sounds like you are getting ready to go!

allisgood1 Tue 26-Aug-14 20:49:29

I hope so eatscones I am so over it and just want to meet him NOW!

cbmb12 Tue 26-Aug-14 21:28:07
