Humourous music for my waterbirth

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 22/08/2014 00:00

Chatting with a friend about putting together some music to play during my (hopefully) waterbirth we started thinking of songs that are....well....themed. Mainly to try and make the Midwife go Hmm "wtf" than to actually play all the way through.

So far we have
Under the Sea
The Celine song from Titanic
Born Slippy Grin

I need more! Help please!

The Ring of Fire

DS was born to Ghostbusters(not intentionally tbh, DH put on the wrong Spotify playlist), I also had the Star Wars theme tune playing when the placenta was delivered Grin.

Trapper · 22/08/2014 00:11

Anything by Wet wet wet.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 22/08/2014 00:14

These are amazing! The list is going to be brilliant. Am hoping the MWs will be chuffed not to have to listen to whale song or, even worse, James Blunt.

'Watch out for the creature from the tub' - my 3 year old loves this song!

Pregnantagain7 · 22/08/2014 09:47

Diana Ross I'm coming out Grin

squizita · 22/08/2014 14:46

I'm putting "Bat out of hell" on my Spotify list. Grin

My yoga instructor suggested reggae or R&B as it encourages the right kind of movement/dancing.

DH suggested I wear my apple bottom jeans and boots with the fur.. so baby gets low low low low!

MissFenella · 22/08/2014 14:58

Theme from Jaws?

rosiegal · 22/08/2014 15:37

If you're aiming for inappropriate then you cant go wrong with a bit of Prodigy and smack my bitch up, definitely good for shock factor!

RiverTam · 22/08/2014 15:43

hahaha, I was going to suggest Born Slippy (DH is a huge Underworld plan and did mumble something about creating a playlist for DD's birth!)!

Grin at theme from Jaws.

RiverTam · 22/08/2014 15:44

plan??? Fan!

BonjourMinou · 22/08/2014 15:46

"Newborn" - Muse
"Water Wonderful World" - Sorry, that was a bit of a cheat...
"Bridge over troubled water" - Simon and Garfunkel
