above hip/back pain

Just needed advice. I've had back ache that goes round to my stomach just above my hip all day. Cant get comfortable in any position. Sometimes its not to bad then it can be like a stabbing pain. Should I be worried or will it maybe be something that just goes away? Please help first pregnancy im 25 weeks

Poor you, that sounds sore!

If it's still sore in a couple of days or you have trouble urinating (or pain/stinging or (hopefully not) passing blood) then see a doc/midwife.

I'd a nasty (but very rare) kidney problem in pregnancy. This sounds like a uti/kidney infection. Are you hot/cold/shivery/achey? If so, try to see a GP tomorrow.

I have this atm I'm currently in the first trimester (almost second :) ) and my midwife says it's likely just hormones and things starting to stretch. She said I should be worried if there are any uncomfortable cramps and/or blood.
