Second time around exhaustion

So I don't remember this from first time round.

I'm officially five and a bit weeks so probably three and a bit. Just went into town with DD for lunch with a friend near her office. Not a lot of to and from tube walking, popped to one shop, not carrying loads of bags or buggy etc.

Had planned to pop out again on a couple of local errands but I am absolutely wiped out. Headache and just beyond exhausted. We're sitting on sofa together watching octonauts. Hope this passes soon. Anyone else feeling similar with no. 2?

Yes. Kept falling asleep. Better in the second trimester for me.

Yep same for me! Right down to the Octonauts (DS1 completely obsessed)!

I was utterly exhausted for the first 25 weeks. I really don't remember it being so bad with my first!

I'm 32 weeks now and I'm just tired rather than completely wiped out. I'm hoping it doesn't return for the last stint. It was awful!

I had that in my second pregnancy. I used to struggle out to an activity every morning with DD, crash into bed whilst she had her nap, then struggle through the afternoon either having build her a den in the sitting room/watching cbeebies, or putting her out in the garden whilst I sat on the back step watching leaning against the door having a snooze.

smog, I'm 14+4 with second and just about coming out of this phase. The end is in sight. From feeling like a crap my to DD who has watched a looooot of cbeebies, I'm now able to function like a normal human again!

Thanks all. Good to know that I'm not alone and it will hopefully pass in due course. Feeling better now after extended lie down, decaf tea and a hot water bottle for the womby pains.

This is my life story at the moment. Second time round seems soooo much more tiring.

I'm 8.5 weeks with my second and feel the same exhaustion you get at the beginning of flu. Absolutely shocking. And I've got a 15 month old who's super clingy and wants carried all the time.

I actually don't know how I'm getting through the day tbh. I know how melodramatic that sounds but at literally any point in the day I could close my eyes and have a sound, deep sleep.

I hope it alleviates soon...

On a more positive note, when does the really good hair and skin stage start? Currently enjoying lots of attractive spots particularly on chin...
