I've been really lucky and feeling mostly fine until now (35+4) but since baby has become engaged I'm extremely uncomfortable and feel like she's about to come at any minute due to all the downward pressure. Is this just par for the course in late pregnancy??

The last few days I felt the pressure shift from my lower back to my hips. And I could hardly walk. I had an hunch that DS was about to make an appearance (even though I was due for another 2 and a weeks!)

Yes! Walking suddenly becomes difficult and painful. I really want to 'nest' but his head is so low doing anything more than laying down or watching TV seems like a pain in the bum!

I didn't feel it happen at all. DS came at 37+4 completely unexpectedly as I was convinced he'd not engaged yet. That said, when he was moving it was more uncomfortable than usual the day I went into labour, so maybe that's what it was.

I didn't feel different but from what the mws said at the time this is unusual and most people DO feel different. My ds was so engaged i was sent for a positioning scan as they couldn't feel his head. But i felt just the same as I had for the previous weeks, the mws thought this was odd so I guess what you're feeling is more normal.

So does the feeling actually mean anything or can it go on like this for weeks...? gulps

I didn't notice any difference either times. Probably as was being constantly sick and having to be in bed most of my pregnancies.
