Hello everyone. I was just wondering if what I am experiencing is normal I am 34 weeks an 4 days with my first baby, I have been getting really bad period like aches on my legs, vagina and bottom of my back.. also I have recently been getting a little pain in my vagina? Baby has slowed down its movements and i also think I'm leaking fluid but i don't wanna ring midwife as I am at the hospital tomorrow for a growth scan. Anyone have any idea what this could mean? Thank you

Ring the hospital. I think you should be better safe than sorry. The fact that you have an appt tomorrow shouldn't make a difference. Xx

Slowed down movements are the main reason why you should ring hospital and get checked out today, probably nothing wrong, but better to put your mind at ease!

I feel like I'd be on there case though and I'd feel a idiot if it's nothing haha! The baby's head was down on the last appointment with my midwife which was last week. Maybe I'm just worrying over nothing :/ xx

Triage are very good, if it's nothing, they'll tell you not to worry over the phone. Most of us have been in for at least one false alarm, better safe than sorry. You always want to feel like a neurotic idiot and not the other case.

The last growth scan said the baby's belly wasn't growing as fast as it should be as it was measuring small, but today's shown that the baby is perfect growing amazing :D just can't wait now nearly 5 weeks and it will be in my arms!

Hi ladies I hope you don't mind me joining this discussion. I'm really glad to hear all is well with your baby sineadlegge.
I am hoping all you experienced ladies can give me some advice also, if it's not too much trouble.. I am 37 weeks and have had what I assume are Brixton hicks over the last few weeks, I don't think I am needing to worry but the last hour or so I have had .. Discomfort in my lower back every few mins, sometimes it travels to my lower belly but generally it just feels like I need the toilet, which I don't seem to need? I don't want to bother the midwifery team as it's not agony just discomfort really. Have any of you experienced ladies had this in your pregnancies too?
I appreciate any advice you can give x

Kyoung1- ring midwife. Because what you are describing is what I had when I was in labour with my first. At that time I also didn't know that I was in labour and told DH that I have the feeling I need to go to the loo but there is nothing coming out (sorry for tmi) well that started in the morning and at 4 pm my water broke and at 12:05 am DS was born..

Good luck

Thanks hartmel. I got some sleep but did struggle with my back. It's not coming and going now it's just a constant discomfort and I no longer have the need to go to the loo so maybe it was just Brixton hicks again?

Sorry only just been back on here, thank you kyoung1. Don't ever feel like your bothering the staff that is there job and what they are there for to help pregnant ladies like ourselfs! I'm not at all experienced lol I'm only 18 and this is my first I'm always on the phone to my mum asking if this, that and the other is normal lol. Even if you think there BH I'd still ring as your 37 week. Good luck! X
