12 week scan nerves

I have my 12 week scan tomorrow (although I will be gone 13 weeks) and I am terrified that something has gone wrong. I don't know whether this is just silly paranoia or somehow I already know Hmm
I have had two scans already (suspected ectopic pregnancy thankfully all was ok) at 6 weeks and then 8 weeks where we saw a heartbeat. Perhaps I'm worrying over nothing. X

I hear you op. It is stressful. Hang on in there and good luck for tomorrow

Thank you heels. I know there isn't anything anyone can do or say but it's such a worrying time. I had the most bizarre dream last night about it where I was having the scan and the sonographer said all was fine but the legs weren't the right colour!? I don't even know what that means! Sigh.

Most of us have anxiety about our twelve week scan, so you're not along.

Best of luck for tomorrow Grin

I too have mine tomorrow. Shitting it. I am sick and all that but I don't feel pregnant (if that makes sense). I just want to know if it'll all be ok.

Good luck tomorrow OP! I know it'll be fine. Grin

Good luck! If it's any reassurance I (and others on here) was stressing in the lead up to mine and it was such a relief when all was fine. Actually turned out not to be 12 weeks so I go back on Friday but feel quite calm/happy about it this time (so far anyway).

i spent a LOT of time reading up on statistics for missed miscarriage in medical journals in the leadup to my scan. The verdict, if it makes you feel better, was that it really is pretty rare!

Good luck! Sure all will be well

Thank you spangles and Jenny. I'm hoping everything's ok! I have everything crossed. I'd never even heard of mmc until joining mn. Now I can't stop thinking about it. X

I've got mine theirs can I hold hands to? So scared after mic previously. Although apparently after you've seen a heartbeat the risks are like 3% or something tiny.

Good luck dt mistress. This is my first pg so so nervous. I never knew how much stuff could go wrong before I was pg!

You to, sorry mines Thursday. It's positive you've seen a heartbeat. That's what I keep thinking. :-)

It's pretty rational to have some anxiety, these scans aren't offered for fun. But Bangles is right, the risks are pretty small. I don't understand the people who are all excited about the 20 week scan and call it the gender scan.

How did the scan go Becca?
My bubba was being naughty and jumping around and making the sonographer have to work very hard to measure him/her. All looks good, if not a bit below average for length.

Scan went well much to my relief! I am slightly further along than I thought but all looked good! Lots of kicking! Very pleased! Now to worry until the next scan Smile hope all others have gone well too. X

Had my 12 week scan today, I was also really worried beforehand. Especially as i've had relatively few symptoms and no morning sickness at all. Turns out all is ok and am actually already 16 weeks!!! Feel a bit better about how big I am now Smile

Hope others scans go well too.

Hi Emma. Glad all went well! I wasn't that far ahead I was only 14 weeks but just meant I'd missed the cut off for the nt test so I've been booked in for a quad test in two weeks time. X

Thanks Becca!

I was too late for the test too so they said they'd do it via bloods which they took yesterday. Is that what you mean by quads or is that something different? Sorry, it's all very new!
