Pregnancy

31 weeks - surge in nausea & kicks!

Am currently 31 weeks with DC2 and over the past couple of days have suddenly started feeling very nauseas (though haven't actually been sick) - I had quite bad morning sickness up until about 18 weeks this time (not helped by a chest infection!) and have generally felt worse during this pregnancy than I did with my first.

Also, I've been feeling movement (baby kicking lots) since about 17 weeks but again over the past couple of days this seems to have escalated loads and Im being 'beaten' by the little one!! So much so it is actually visible from the other side of the room and it hurts!!

Not sure if the two things are linked but just wondered if this was normal and if anyone else was feeling this? Thanks.

I also had bad sickness till 16 weeks and defiantly worst than with my fist. I'm 29 weeks and keep retching and being sick now and again.

Not sure with the kicking, baby kicks but not as hard as you describe xx

I had this although I can't remember if it was exactly 31 weeks (I'm now 38 weeks). But a few weeks ago now I had a bit of nausea and went off food for about a week (I never had really bad nausea anyway so it was quite mild). And wow was baby moving/kicking.....I had body parts jutting out of me all over the place, it was really distracting (but good at the same time). It quietened down eventually and now that he's obviously a lot bigger I don't feel the movements quite the same way, they are larger and a bit less distracting!

Hang in there shouldn't be for much longer

Yes! I'm 33 weeks with dc2, and the last few days have felt rubbish and been sick a few times.the baby feels like it's trying to break out! Really violent and painful kicks at the minute - particularly low down. Little bugger ;-) x

Just logged on to write something similar! Had an upset tummy and loose stools for two weeks now and feel really nauseous. Also 31 weeks...v strange? Maybe baby squishing new parts of us?!

Thanks for your replies, glad it's not just me!
But yes, all a bit strange - maybe they have a particular intensive growth spurt or something around 31 weeks?!
The kicks are reassuring but they don't half hurt and feel uncomfortable sometimes!!
The sickness seems a little better today though I have gone off food a bit.
Oh the joys of pregnancy! (Love it really!!) Smile
