Feeling sick/ headache/ heart palpitations at 40+8?

Feeling generally horrible, have done for a few days. Mentioned to my midwife at 40+4 and she said I was just run down/ struggling with the heat (also have 18mo dd to look after!)
However, the feelings haven't gone away, I've slept better and relaxed a lot more this weekend.. I'm not sure if I should be worried about this?
I really don't want to go to the hospital to be told everything's fine after finding childcare for dd, and psyching myself up for something being wrong!
Got a doc appt for dd at 4 this afternoon, so can hijack then if still feelings unwell (they wouldn't give me 2 appts, she really needs to see the doc so it's in her name!)
Obviously if I need to go to the hospital I will..

Sorry, not much help but if you're worried if definitely get myself checked.

I'm 40+5 (Confused) also with an active DS - just turned 19 months - to chase after. Which isn't really happening because of hip pain/ possible PGP. So I feel your pain!! Hope you feel better and have a healthy happy newborn in your arms very soon!

It's rubbish isn't it! I'm feeling a bit better, so going to ask the dr later to check everything's normal but fairly sure he'll say he doesn't have time because the appts for dd and not me if I feel like it again this evening I think il call the labour ward? (Is that who I'm meant to call?!)

Give your midwife a call. Better to be safe than sorry. Might just be things gearing up!

I was the same the other day. (Now 40+9) I called the labour ward and they got me a check up with a community midwife. All was fine and I've been feeling much better the last couple of days. Glad I rang though for peace of mind. Do call if you're no better.

Good to hear you're well though beany. Hope your LO arrives soon.

I'm hoping alllllll the time for something to happen! Can you "will" a baby out do you think?

I had this. No pre eclampsia but they took bloods and it turned out I was dangerously anemic.
