Pregnancy

15 Weeks and not feeling pregnant...anyone else felt like this?

This is my second baby, was at the same stage of pregnancy this time two years ago so I remember it fairly well first time. Whereas the first time round I told close family at 10 weeks and everyone else as soon as i'd had my 12 week scan, I had my scan two weeks ago now and have been very reluctant to tell my wider circle of friends and colleagues because I feel like a fraud.

I am 15+1 and the constant nausea I had has completey gone and my appetitie returned to normal in the past week and I have got lots more energy in the past week too so now I feel pretty much normal apart from a bit of bloating/constipation/wind (sorry tmi). My boobs havent hurt at all with this pregnancy although they do seem bigger. I cant feel movement yet whereas I felt tiny movements from 14 weeks with my ds.

It is all making me worry that something is wrong/has happened to the baby. I felt very pregnant so early last time...I dont know whether it was because I was so excited the new experience of pregnancy and I wanted to be blooming...i'm still excited obviously this time, but it's less at the constant forefront of my mind because i'm busy with my ds and I know it is still early days in terms of how blooming I will become! Cant shake the feeling that it means something ia wrong. I do tend to worry generally though!

Has anyone else worried like this?

I was exactly the same, but had no symptoms throughout. I am now 19+1 and still don't feel pregnant! Am starting to get movements now though Smile

I have found the older I have got / more dc I have had the more I have worried in pregnancy

I think it's partly due to being more aware of things that can go wrong

Eg - when I had dc1 I knew no one who had miscarried or had a still birth, by the time I had dc3 I knew several

Thanks for the replies, is this your first Ducky ? Did you feel pregnant though Mumof3 even though you were worried? I know what you mean about being more aware of things that can go wrong, I think youre in a little bubble with your first.

Its the "not feeling" pregnant that is worrying me...and i've told most people but still feel its too early to have told people even though I told people straight after my first scan with no qualms first time...so don't know why i'm suddenly feeling so over cautious this time...

With dc 3 not until I saw her on the scan

I also had an anterior placenta so didn't feel movements til much later on causing me to worry lots between scans

Ooh well i'm very glad to hear i'm not alone, thank you! Glad to hear your pregnancy is going well Ducky and i'm not the only one feeling like ive made it up! The only thing reassuring me is that I felt like this before my 12 week scan despite feeling really sick and was convinced it would mean something was wrong but all was fine so i'm hoping it's just a second pregnancy thing!

Hi

I'm currently 13 weeks with my 3rd. I've not felt any symptoms really except sore boobs whereas with my older 2 I was so sick for the first trimester and I'm now beginning to wonder if I dreamt taking the test lol!

I'm not going for my scan till Tuesday so I think after then and I know there's a baby in there I'll feel lots better! I'm not planning on telling many people till the 20 week scan anyway as I want my older two to know first but I don't want to take them to the first scan incase anything is wrong.

Your def not alone! Grin

I definitely had less symptoms with my second and the symptoms I did have were later. I didn't get kicks until about 19 weeks but I think that is quite normal. My breasts didn't hurt until my milk came in (at 3 days post partum) and no nausea etc at all.

I'm the same! After 12 weeks your early symptoms normally disappear. Also, Ive heard that in your second trimester soreness in the boobs tends to go away for a while. This is what's happened to me. My boobs are definitely fuller and don't feel sore at all! Loads of energy too! Completely normal :)
