What to expect after a S&S?

So I went and had a S&S yesterday (at 38+1). My cervix was thinned and I was 1cm dilated so the S&S was favourable and successful. I've had a bit of pinkish coloured stuff when I wipe which I know is normal, and also a little bit in the loo after I have had a wee.

My midwife said if this one doesnt work in 24 hours, then it means it wasnt successful and she will try again on Sunday when I will be 39 weeks.

What are your experiences post S&S?

i had a 2 or 3, cant remember it was a while ago - as my dd was eventually 2 weeks late, I found they did nothing, didn't feel anything post s&s. sorry, somewhat unhelpful.

I had one on the Monday lunchtime, felt not quite right for a day after it, lost my plug gradually over 2 days and got all hopefull. By the Wednesday lunchtime I'd given up hope. That night my waters went and twins arrived early Thursday morning

Had a couple with DS. I went into labour about 12 hours after my second one at 40+9.

With DD, I had a few from 38 weeks as induction was booked from 39 weeks. Nothing happened despite the MW telling me to prepare for a precipitate labour!

I had one with dd1.

Couldn't explain why but I just felt different and knew it had worked.

I guess I felt, not crampy as such but had a very slight dragging sensation but I had to think about it up feel it of that makes sense.

Had dd following morning

I do feel heavier down below and have had more BHs but no other signs really. Am losing hope now tbh and assume nothing will happen.

Ive been bouncing on the ball so much that hubby has said to calm down with it a bit as I was bouncing quite furiously lol. baby is now 1/5 engaged (nearly fully engaged) as MW can only just feel the back of baby's head. Got some really sharp movements and heavy sharp pains in my bum along with a few aches in my back. Dont think that this is it tho?

It's not that likely to work if you are 38 weeks. Just try and keep busy. Fingers crossed it will all kick off soon.
