Lower immunity in pregnancy- feeling ill

Have I imagined that this is a thing? I am 12 weeks today and I have had a cough for 2 weeks now. I am also knackered and nauseous and just feel generally awful. I waited so long for this 2nd pregnancy and now I just feel utterly shite. I am going to the doc anyway this week but I don't think I need anti biotics. I just feel like I need reassurance that getting ill in pregnancy is normal - as I am really not blooming in any way.

Its normal I've been the same, urine infection, tonsillitis, chest infection just felt lung I was constantly ill. I'm 27 weeks now and been ok for last few weeks hoping it stays that way. Hope you feel better soon it's not nice on top of pregnancy symptoms. X

Lower immune system while you're pregnant. I've had everything going including 2 lots of d&v, colds, eye infections etc.
Bloody hate it! Can't wait for baby to come now.

Yep, I came down with every cough and cold that went round the office during the first trimester. I felt much worse than usual too but not sure if that's because I couldn't dose myself up as usual!

It got better for me, can't remember when exactly but you're probably starting to come out the other side now. I'm 23 weeks and been fine for a while now! Sending sympathy! X
