Will I go over?

Baby is due tomorrow. My bump is really high up still and last Friday the midwife said she isn't engaged at all yet (and I still don't think she is!)

She was breech for weeks but then she turned and was lying pretty much back to back, although over on the left had side. I still get movements and bulges so I'm not sure what position she is in now.

I've had no show, no Braxton hicks and nothing at all to make me think she'll be on her way any time soon! Does this mean I'm likely to go loads over and probably be induced or could she decide to come all of a sudden...?!?!

I'm not sure but can I ask you to have a look at this:

it might put your mind at rest. :)

I had absolutely no signs until contractions kicked in, so no way of knowing when at all IME!

Basically don't worry so much about your due date, I know it's mega exciting and you just want the barn out, but the due date can be up to two weeks wrong so just try and relax, be patient and let body and baby decide when it's ready.

best of luck to you, keep us updated!!

I had no indicators either. I got to my edd and assumed id be in for another fortnight. edd +1 I took myself out to the chinese and the bar with some friends, ate and danced, had a grand time. Woke the early hours of edd+2 with regular frequent contractions and dd was born 24 hrs after that.

Thanks. I think I'm either looking for hope that it could be any day despite no signs, or confirmation that I'm likely to go way over so to just stop wondering!!! I wouldn't mind if it wasn't for this heat and not being able to do anything as I'm just so tired. Another 2 weeks of this is a miserable though! Should probably prepare for that though just in case!

I can't even imagine how you're feeling, my cousin had her baby yesterday and she was saying beforehand how the heat was unbearable. It's bad enough for me and I'm not lugging a bump and baby around!

My friend's baby was B2B and she was scheduled for a C section at 40+5.

You can't tell till it happens. My friend and I were due a day apart, I'd had BH contractions and a show, but then she had her baby out of the blue while I ended up being a week late!

You can't tell. But going over doesn't automatically mean loads over and induction. The majority of women who go 'over' go into natural labour before 42 weeks.
