Third trimester movements - are they different?

I'm 31 weeks with first. I started feeling movements quite regularly from around 24 weeks. The movements feel different over the last week or so. Not sure if it's because baby has less room. I still feel him move a frequently, but not always kicks, more like he is changing position or wiggling his toes - not as obvious as some of the movements have been over last month or two.

Definitely different! Think it's because there's much less room. I have some quite quiet days at 32 weeks and other busy ones but more rolls than kick type actions and flutters if that makes sense?

Thanks Elizabeth. Definitely more rolls, and less kicks.

Me too, almost 30 weeks. Rolls and in some really weird places too! Don't know what she's doing in there!

Mine are the other way round: more prodding/pushing slow 'kicks' less full rolls. There's been a change and it does feel like there's less room. Apparently my baby has settled head down so nature will want her to stay that way, which could be why.

The main thing is you feel movement regularly and see a Dr if it stops for a long time (if you don't feel anything for 2 daytime hours, have a lie down on your side and a cold drink, this should wake the baby and trigger movements over the next 2 hours- if not, ring your hospital/midwife line ASAP).

I'm almost 31 weeks and my baby's movements feel more like rolls and pokes rather than the usual kicks I used to feel. Sometimes she gives me the odd boot and makes me feel like her foots going to break through wherever she's aiming for at the time but I'd say what you're feeling is normal Smile
