Mum to be gift to Singapore?

My best friend all the way over in Singapore is due to give birth to her first child in 4 weeks and I can't find a single UK website that I can post her a gift directly from. Can anybody either recommend a uk website they know will post to singapore for these kind of gifts or a good singapore website? Thanks

I should maybe say... i'm looking for a gift for her, not the baby. So nice body products, treats to eat afterwards that kind of thing...

You could get her a spa treatment for postnatal? That way she'll have something to look forward to. If she's localized she won't be allowed out much in the first few weeks so she would definitely want something for after! She might have a fav spa she already goes to in which case just ring and buy her a treatment?

Thanks NK5BM3, I'm not sure she'll want to leave baby afterwards and she's getting lots of treatments ahead of time! I was thinking more of a website like johnlewis.co.uk but in singapore so there aren't all the issues of import restrictions.

Have you tried Etsy? www.etsy.com/uk/ most sellers on there send internationally you may even find a seller in Singapore who can send it straight to her and save money on postage

Ok, here's a site you can try. www.yoursingapore.com/content/traveller/en/browse/shopping/shop-by-category/departmental-stores/takashimaya.html?cmp=brandlaunch_UK_googleSEM_%28UK%29-SH_Stores_Takashimaya_%2Btakashimaya&mkwid=sBugc6dRq_pcrid_37312623025_pdv_t

The name of the store is takashimaya. It's the Japanese version of John Lewis, or house of Fraser. Rather posh. But lower than Harrods. They have hampers that you can buy and there's an online shop on that site.

There are other shops, like Tangs (which is the homegrown version of JL), Robinsons (also like JL). There's marks and Spencer's too (but quite limited, unlike here).

I would imagine that there would be on line store equivalents.

Good luck. Let me know how you get on!! Smile

The exchange rate FYI is £1=$2 roughly.

Wow thank you so much! Just what I was looking for. Found the most amazing labour essentials gift, it's perfect but they only ship in australia!! www.etsy.com/uk/listing/188875468/be-ready-a-premium-collection-of-natural?ref=related-0

The harrods hamper will be perfect for once the baby has arrived to have some treats at home! store.takashimaya-sin.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=37_38&products_id=67

Any having used this wonderful clarins oil all through my pregancy I'm delighted to be able to send her some from Tangs; www.tangs.com/estore/product_info.php?products_id=11014&osCsid=24015dp1aff1fl5iivm56bbc86

Thank you again so much, brilliant recommendations.
