Low blood pressure - jerking limbs

I know that low blood pressure in pregnancy is common. I had some blood tests done about a year ago by my doctor after I had a few episodes of getting out of bed or off the sofa, my vision going crackly and my limbs jerking uncontrollably for about 20-30 seconds.

My sister had at that point just been diagnosed with epilepsy, so the doctors did a whole batch of tests. These episodes are pretty infrequent - once every 3-6 months and the blood results all came back clear, however I had to wear a blood pressure cuff for 24 hrs, which showed my bp was on the low side. Nothing further was done and I was told to come back if it happened again.

I'm now 17 weeks pregnant and this happened again, for the first time someone in front of my dh. I've made an appointment to go back to the doctors, as I'm worried about this happening, especially if I'm holding a baby etc. but wondered if anyone else has had anything similar and if it was linked to low blood pressure? sorry for the long post...
