Anyone else very fed up of being pregnant now?

I'm 35 weeks and driving myself crazy! I'm so uncomfortable and this heat isn't helping. I'm constantly expanding, my jeans are getting too tight but it seems silly to buy anymore now.

I just want him out, he must be just about big enough by now!

Anyone else feeling the same?

34+4 here, so swollen in the heat from top to toe I think my skin will split apart. Can't sleep, murderous heartburn, and my fastest walking speed is around half a normal person's walking pace. Urgh.

I reckon I'll spend my maternity leave in the office. The drinks come out of the vending machine freezing, and the air conditioning is beyond bliss :)

Yes - and I'm only 26 weeks! It's going to be a long summer...

35 weeks is the hardest point I think because at least when you're 37 you're classified as full term and the number 40 is very much in sight.

23+ here and already slowing down. This is going to be a long pregnancy Hmm

Mmm, spending it in the office sounds good with the freezing drinks!

Oh I feel for you mssleepy. I've been praying for a cold summer, can't be done with all this heat when I'm bloated and chunky!

YES

I am almost 37 weeks now and surely this baby is already big enough to make it in the real world???

I'm going to start on a curry diet, would be great if he came out in the next couple of weeks...

40+4 here and massively ready for it to be over! I feel like a big sow :(

Report
RoseberryTopping · 19/05/2014 18:52

You're right foodie it feels like such a long time away, and I know I may go over that 40 weeks :( as soon as I hit 37 weeks I'll be trying everything possible to get him out!

If you're 37 weeks now ginger then a curry diet can't do any harm :)

39+5 and I don't think it's ever going to end. Feel like a heifer and just tired all the time. Shouting at DH and DD isn't helping...

Luckily (?) I am being induced on Saturday thanks to my gestational diabetes, so the end is in sight.

I'm only 30 weeks and getting a bit bored of this now! I'm massive already and struggling with pelvic pain. Don't know how I'm going to cope with another 10 weeks!

36+4 and dying for her to make an appearance - bloody sick of the pain! Sad Midwife reckons she'll come a little early - I'll be having words if she's wrong Grin

I'm 37+4 and hoping that all my positive thinking will mean I go into labour early next week!!

I tried the very hot curry/bouncing on my ball/sex thing yesterday (not all at the same time Smile) and all I got for it was a super wriggly baby, heartburn from hell and no sleep until 5.30!

37+3 and had enough now. Tired and irritable but can't sleep, not looking forward to half term. My other two were born at 40 weeks so probably still 18 days to go.....
Nature has a marvellous way of overcoming fear of childbirth with the discomforts of late pregnancy! Grin

I think you are doing well to be still in jeans at 35 weeks OP I am a couple of weeks behind you and I have lost all patience with my jeans now, they either fell down or dug in.

I have bought a maxi dress to waft about in, according to the instructions you can wear it after the baby has arrived, it is much cooler than my other stuff. It doesn't help with the heart burn though!

I'm 36+4 and soooo ready for him to come! Part of me wants to cry to the midwife about how miserable I am and how bad the spd is but I keep telling myself he will come when he's ready! Hmm I bloody hope he's ready soon!!!! I'm just grumpy mostly, not sleeping agh will be worth it in the end! Xx

37+5 and massively uncomfortable and questioning every niggle. Yes, the end is in sight, but I could potentially have to put up with 4 more whole weeks of this and worse?!

Report
RoseberryTopping · 19/05/2014 21:03

Those that are 37+ have you tried anything to naturally induce labour? I've read nipple twiddling and using a breast pump is great for getting things going, can't wait to give it a try but am waiting till the magic 37 weeks.

I love jeans, feel lost without them! I've been wearing maxi skirts and vests in this vests in this heat but worried about the weather turning cooler now.

36 weeks here and yy getting fed up now! 3 days at work left hoping after I stop time will go quicker not sure about that! Scanned few weeks ago to be 5lbs dread to think how heavy he is now! Feeling everyone's pain hang in there Wink

Try not to worry corazon, apparently big babies are often born pretty easily cos gravity helps out :)

Roseberry I haven't felt cold since one day in February, DH has had to sleep in the spare room because he can't sleep with the heat I'm giving off, I would love to need a jacket!

I would love a glass of wine too, since I've been pregnant my tastebuds have changed and all alcoholic drinks taste hideous. Yesterday would have been a nice day for a glass of rose otherwise. Wonder will my tastebuds go back after this baby comes?

Still I shouldn't complain. Its quite lovely having her all to myself, all the time.

Roseberry, I've started going a bit of boob stimulation, but the studies that show it is effective have results like within 72 hours 37% of the nip stimulation crowd were in labour vs only 6% of the non nip stimulation folks. But that's with 3 hours a day! And still nearly 2/3 of those tweaking their nips weren't in labour.

Still though, at this point I'm sure we're all willing to try just about anything!
