Am 38 weeks and after I had finally heaved my great bulk up into sitting position on edge of bed, ready to go in search of more milk for ds, I got a rather loud 'clunk' from downstairs. Felt like cervix area.
It felt a bit like when waters went with ds but when that happened there was a definate release of pressure feeling.
This just kinda clunked.
Could it have been the head shifting down a bit as I heard someone experienced this.
Dh heard it over the fan I had on humming away and he's a lazy git and was half asleep.
I would need to lose my plug before the waters could go wouldnt i? Plus i've had no pains following it.

tia.

Can't remember that clunking but it is a while ago now.

Not long to go. How are you feeling?

over the past few days ive kept getting what feels like the start of contractions that go on long enough to get me excited then stop.
they stop me in what im doing.
atm i feel ok, although i think i may be getting a very light dull ache in the womb part- the bit where you get period cramps.

Wish I could give you some reassurance but just bumping this along for you. You sound worried. Someone else is bound to have had the same experience.

Am I right that you would like the baby to come now?

this isn't going to be much help. But when I read the title of this, I opened it up because we had thunder at exactly 6am

This sounds very much like my friend who has just had her pubic bone realigned after not realising it was out of sync since having her dd 4 years ago. A physio manouvered it back in with no pain at all.

Could it have been something like this if it was painless?

Hello, just seen your message on other thread. Not sure really, my hips 'clunk' back into place almost without fail every morning at the moment. Worth ringing delivery suite just for reassurance? Are you sure there's no trickling at all - it is possible for waters to go with no show.

thanks. i didnt know waters could go before show. i thought the plug would keep waters intact.
thanks.

no there is no trickling unfortunately. i tried laying down for a bit then getting back up to see if any had 'collected' but nothing.

i have phones antenatal clinic and they cant explain the sound although they say a lot of people have experienced it.
she said if nothing has come out it cant be waters.
on thinking more about it, it felt the same as when waters went with ds.
i have been told the babe is quite large. could his head be blocking the exit so to speak?
she said if i am worried to call delivery suite but ive just called my mum and se thinks they may want to bring me on if they test and find it was the water?
what to do?

sounds like your pelvis clicking. mine did it/does it a lot. especially at the end of pregnancy.

yes your waters can break before you have a show..mine did.
I'm not familiar with what you heard/felt so can't help there sorry.
If your waters have gone then yes you are better seeing your mw as they will want to monitor you. They may want to induce you as once your waters go then the baby is no longer in a sterlie environment iykwim BUT this isn't always the case..sorry I don't know how they decided.!!

You may be safest to go down to delivery to get them to check you over. I know I did many times..!!
