Right so quick brief...DD1 was overdue, huge and back to back, which resulted in an emergency section.

I am booked in for an elective section (because of previous birth) on friday ( i will be exactly 39 weeks on fri) ....went to hospital to have pre op done.

Saw consultant before going to have pre op done and gave me an examination and said that baby was engaged and good to go! So she suggested i have a sweep and see if we can encourage baby to come on her own as there is no reason to not at least try as yet there doesnt seem to be any complications re her positioning (which was what i agreed with consultant if she came on her own in right position to try for a natural birth)

So i had the sweep...... then went for my pre op lol.

I had a sweep with DD1 on a monday and by the wed morning i went into labour, now im thinking had she of been the right way round maybe she may have come a bit earlier....

So was just wondering if anyone agreed with my thinking that this one is "good to go" head down, the right way round and also she said i was 2 cm dilated and that she could feel the babys head through the membrane! that this one may come a bit quicker???

Im already getting a dull ache, and a bit of blood. ( i already had a bit of a show last week and 90 mins of contractions that then just stopped on saturday night!)

I think im answering my own question to be honest but would like to know who that has had a sweep with a baby the right way round, how long it took for you to go into labor? Whos gonna win? Baby or section day ?? lol

I'm not sure about the differences between a VBAC and a first V birth but I know there are extra things you need to be aware of with a VBAC...

have these been explained to you?
