Hit by a wall of exhaustion at 36.5 weeks!

All of a sudden I am finding it literally impossible to keep my eyes open during the day. In my first trimester I was usually sleepy in the afternoon and napped for an hour but since then I've been fine.

Now, however, I want to sleep ALL the time! I don't sleep great at night, but it's not that bad. I usually get 5-ish hours and that's been the case for the last couple of months so I don't think it's that. I've already slept on the sofa this morning for 1.5 hours and could just head right back there right now! is this normal??

Maybe worth checking your iron levels?

You eating low GI foods? That might help, porridge etc, give you a boost.

I'm 33 weeks, and tbh, after a broken night, I have to inhale chocolate to get me through the afternoon of work or looking after DD. Tiredness is normal isn't it at this late stage, I remember really enjoying afternoon naps but if you think you are over tired and really struggling to stay awake, probably best to talk to midwife.

I'm the same, tiredness was my one big symptom in the first trimester and now I'm 37 weeks it's been back with a vengeance for the past few weeks.

Thank goodness for maternity leave!

Embrace it! Get all the sleep you can while you get the chance!

Yes, it is normal.

Am going to sound bitter and twisted now and say enjoy it whilst you can. I am 39 weeks with no.3, feel like that, and am very envious of your naps!
