Help!! Anyone had neg test and been pregnant?

I am now 10 days late for period I took a test yesterday and it was negative :( when I was about 2 days late I got period cramps and thought I was coming on but nothing as yet, I don't want to get my hopes up :( has anybody else had the same and been pregnant?

I tested negative 2 days before I was due and positive 2 days after. I did have period cramps for the day before and the day I was due, though, and have had them on and off since.

I'm sure someone will be along with a better experience.

When did you test? The hormone you are testing for is most concentrated first thing in a morning or when you have not had a drink/been for a wee for a couple of hours.

Hi, thankyou for responding, I took a test at 9 days late and neg, I did do it first thing in a morning too, it's just so annoying not knowing where I am with it :(

Didn't want to read and run!

I know this might not be very helpful but I remember reading a post on here from someone who took 14 days after AF was dueto get her BFP.

The tests that I have at home (just cheapies) say if you get a negative result and still suspect you might be pregnant wait 48 hours and take another test first thin in the morning as the hormones are meant to double every day.

I have but it was a 'chemical' pregnancy ... I was over 2 weeks' late before I had a positive test (after several negative ones) but then sadly I started bleeding just a few days later. It was like my period was late really. I think this happens when the egg fertilises but for whatever reason doesn't get much beyond that.

Like the other posters say though, just try in a few days' time as you may just be a bit early.

Aww sorry :( I think I had one them last sep because I tested 4 days b4 my period and it was positive, tested like a week after period due date and it was a faint positive then a day later neg, went to doctors they did blood tests first one came back boreder line then next one come back neg :(

I took 9 tests and no.s 2 and 3 were neg. Apparently all tests have different levels of hormone sensitivity (im sure i found the list on here) and its been found Superdrug ones detected the lowest amount. Also morning wee is most potent.

Hi, this happened to me. I wondered if I was pregnant due to unexplained severe heartburn and took a test which was negative. Although it was over 4 weeks since my last period I had a very unpredictable cycle, usually longer than 4 weeks. Anyhow a few days later I was still feeling "odd" and took a test again which was positive - my 5 year old is proof! I still think its amazing that I "knew" before the test did!
